hey guys. i've been doing a bunch of District 9-themed Autechre remixes. theres about 20 here so far in the past two weeks. i think you guys might dig and some friends told me to post them here. im really interest in requests, two big ones comin up are gantz graf and second bad vilbel, but im interested to hear what anybody's got to say about these. most are effects with drums, some with guitars, and a lot of movie quotes. i hope you guys enjoy! |

well, for what ive heard its mainly a drum playing over the ae tunes, and you cant almost hear the tune, so its a bit sucky... if you make a proper mixing youll provably get some great songs, cause i guess the drum playing its not bad |

sounded neither extreme nor remixed. My advice is to be more extreme and remix the track. Also, I agree with melack on the drums |

at any rate, im not too sure its understood how mentally stressful it is to play drums with autechre's music. interpreting some of the things thats done in stuff like chenc9 and tewe isnt exactly easy. as far as 'remixing the track', im not so sure that its necessary as well, its not like i arbitrarily picked autechre. thank you for listening! |

hehe, i even have a few that i need to still process. and honestly, if anybody wants to jump in and do some stuff for any of these songs, i'm totally up for some collaborating. the 2nd cfern i did has guitars and bass and its done more, but some of this stuff is so degenerative that its difficult to play with other instruments. ive been playing drums for 25 years, i feel like i can hang a bit with that stuff, but obviously it's damn hard. after doing this many, and some are better than others admittedly, suggestions help a bunch. 19 headaches is on the to do list for the next few days, and i was gonna spend a minute on it. NEED HALP PLZ. im running out of stuff to sample in district 9 too, im going to have to start using stuff from tetra vaal and alive in joburg soon. |

how alien-based is avatar? i havent seen these yet. the connection between autechre and district 9 fits as well as it does because ae is pretty alien music in its nature. theres still a lot that i think can be sampled in it, like more of the prawns speaking. |
