Go to www.autechre.nu and have a listen or just download
some tracks and then decide.

I like LP5, but Incunabula, I think, is much better.
My suggestion is to familiarize yourself with Autechre
before going out and getting Confield.

The Amber Album has definitly made an impression on me,(I'm
listening to it now ) the tracks that really put the hook in
me are Montreal, Nine, Further and Nil , fantastic, bloody
fantastic I tell you!

Amber rocks--great sound textures throughout! Also, I think
it's one of the first Autechre records to really get the
praise it deserved.

P.S. One-hundred posts, yah!

Since you're in America, get Tri Repetae++. Then you get the
excellent Garbage and Anvil Vapre EPs are well.

offline Duble0Syx from Columbus, OH (United States) on 2002-04-02 03:41 [#00154390]

It seems the top two are LP5 and Amber...Maybe I'll buy
both...

I saw a motorcross video about 4 months ago which actually
featured guys riding over those huge sand hills (the ones
featured on the cover of amber) I couldn't believe it , I
think the actual location is in turkey...

yeah, i agree with inverted whale, you got to get tri
repetae ++ for the quantity of material on there.

offline CORTEX from Canada on 2002-04-02 04:59 [#00154448]

So much too consider...
The choice is much easier with Autechre than with AFX
though...
