doubts about microKORG

hello people!

I am thinking about buying a microKORG, I wondered if the
vocoder is in real time, if the voice is processed directly
in the notes when you touch... because I was reading the
specifications and said something like: "record your voice
and then plays with her" WTF?! I would like a vocoder in
real time, some of you know the product? the vocoder is
good?

I want something that sounds like THIS!

thanks!

It is in real time. I don't know what specs you read.
There is no ability to record on it. It just comes with a
nifty mic, and you play the keys and speak, the way it
should be. The vocoder is the only reason i bought one...

yeah, I had not heard before that microkorg have sampling
options or something, sounds weird for me too, cool, so no
more doubts, looks great, you have a real vocoder, a
versatile hardware synth and a midi controller... all in
one, sounds good! thank you Michel Nicholas!

I have owned one of these. Couldn't be happier to have sold
it. Take my advice; look at buying a micron or an ion (can
be found used for as much as a new microkorg).

need.

i also wanted one, because of the vocoder,
but the synth looks a bit simple (not enough buttons),
or it isnt?

It's an irritating pain to make sounds on but you can make
some moody, sexy noises.

hahaha i dont know,
i think it was just the 'style' selector button,
and not a proper wave selector,
the thing that made me say meh...
but i think i want one again :)
cheaper enough

too much

without the need of a fucking computer...

I don't know how so many people like this synthesizer. It
sounds like a Casio that can make trance, which would be
cool and all if it cost $20 from a second hand store. If
Roland had made it everyone would shout fail and we would
never hear about it again but for some reason people have
this kitsch cult thing going on about Korg so they get
accolades.

The best thing about this synthesizer is the look of the new
ones (which have full sized keys so if you are going to buy
it get one).

the XL has mini-keys. It has a new sound engine, and
supposedly improved designs for the mic and keyboard action.

Not a big fan of the micro. The new one looks like it should
come with a barbie or something. Not dissing anyones
purchase but I thought it was kind of something they threw
together with old Electribe parts or something. The say it's
supposed to sound like the MS2000 but I don't think so. If
it's the same parts, there must be something with the output
signal or something, sounded very flat when I used it.

A GREAT VOCODER ALTERNATIVE is the brand new Electro
Harmonix voice box.

This video will make you want one... and hes using the korg
micro as well:P

In canada it's going for about $240. I tried it in the
store, it's awesome, but seems a little limited. If you are
using the Vocoder , you might have more options.
