I have listened to the new Moby's song today....quite
boring as the video...

moby sucks

yes I liked Play when it was released...then it became
boring as much as it became famous...I think i won't fall on
Moby stuff twice in my life

i liked porcelain for the first 30 seconds of it.... all his
songs are unbearably cheesy...imo....

offline Riccardo from somewhere beyond the ultraworl on 2002-03-29 21:45 [#00149326]

me too, only the first 30 seconds...I think the one I liked
most was run on though...

i've always wondered why people on here seem to despise Moby
despite the fact that he is widely know as one of
Electoronic musics greats (its not my opinion).

only because of his popularity

offline Riccardo from somewhere beyond the ultraworl on 2002-03-29 21:48 [#00149334]

maybe he has just become too famous for my tastes...I mean
Play doesn't deserve 7 million copies or so sold...I heard
of it on mtv, on tv,on the radio everywhere...it ewas
impossible not to get tired of it!

moby is great is the new video any good? there was a
paragraph in rolling stone, there are about 10 quest
appearances of the peeps....

there is a lot more to moby than "play" get them all

just because he is popular you don't like him? That's pretty
lame...

yeah richard is more popular than he was yesterday and do
you dislike him?

offline Laserbeak from Netherlands, The on 2002-03-29 22:13 [#00149388]

I don't hate him but his music doesn't do much for me. The
last track I liked was 'go', and that was a long time ago.

offline Riccardo from somewhere beyond the ultraworl on 2002-03-29 22:14 [#00149390]
Points: 869 Status: Lurker

ok but richard doesn't sell 7 million copies, first
second: he doesn't work with gwen stefani...I mean gwen hey
baby stefaniiii! if you have some dignity you shouldn't work
with that kind of people...

moby has one album that really amazes me: Animal Rights.

it's the same problem I have with Missy elliott: I like her
stuff and Timbaland turns everything to gold...but when i
think that she worked with destiny's child, christina
aguilera, janet jackson, pink...I start hating her

it's the same as if Rdj one day decides to start a
collaboration with...geri halliwell...at least that what I
hated of Moby in the last two years...

i don't like moby because his music is shit, not because
he's popular.

offline jupitah from Minneapolis (United States) on 2002-03-29 22:25 [#00149410]

yeah, moby's music is mad boring.

offline The_Funkmaster from St. John's (Canada) on 2002-03-29 22:27 [#00149415]
Points: 16280 Status: Lurker

I dunno, I like artists for their music... I'm not really
worried who they have worked with, or how many albums
they've sold... I'd be so happy if Drukqs or Geogaddi or
Confield sold 10million copies... I'd be exstatic... I
wouldn't automatically start hating them...

offline Riccardo from somewhere beyond the ultraworl on 2002-03-29 22:30 [#00149422]

me too, if they stay true to themselves...not the case of
moby. anyway I prefer something not too exposed to the
general consensous

go was the twin peaks mix wasn't it? it was good at the time
but it sounds dated now.

Gwen wan't always so bad. Old No Doubt is much higher
quality in the pop world than 99% of the trash that gets
played. And her presence on "I Saw Red" is great.

man, that song with gwen on it stinks.

i dunno. I have play, i like it. He's a sellout, yeah, but
i still like his music. Everloving is a really pretty song.

plus it makes for good make-out music.

ive download that song. and if that is the song i really
think it sounds like david bowie.

I think moby just sucks. Not because he's popular. He just
sucks. He has talent, but he doesn't use it for making
music. He uses it for making money by pumping the world
full of shitty trendy electronic music and giving the whole
genre in general a bad name...

yea, wow, it would have been really cool if confield and
drukqs sold like 10 million copies...that would make the
world a better place IMO
