im trying to think of as many as possible big music hits
from that period that we enjoyed back then..but no 2
unlimited/dr alban and alikes (though it wasn't all bad),
more stuff like inner city, black box, snap, and then a bit
more club oriented stuff like usura's open your mind or lil
louis's french kiss..or shamen's ebeneezer that falls
somewhere inbetween. please name particular songs if you
can, not just artists.

i hope vlari finds some time for this : )

thank you!!

so much to choose from, but the easy option is actually to
try get hold of house party 1 - 5 for reference. excellent
snapshots of the more anthemic side of early 90s dance,
without too much of your archetypal eurodance singer/rapper
combo. i've discovered/rediscovered loads of gems through
these

houseparty 1

houseparty 2

vol 3

vol 4

vol 5

add another fumzup for the house party series, excellent
mixes. anyway, off the top of my head:

cola boy - 7 ways to love
xpansions - move your body
blue pearl - naked in the rain
nomad - devotion
the goodmen - give it up
sy kick - upside
klf - what time is love?
prodigy - everybody in the place (fairground remix)

more early 90s than late 80s, mind. all mega cheese but not
full-on eurodance

Is Vinyl Exchange still there? The last time I was there
must be 14 years ago, eek. Always the best place for promo
copies and imports.

only the separates not the mash, i do want it now though.

i loved the vinylexchange. could have spent the whole day
(or more!) going through the racks. for half an hour,
walking out with the original 808 state - newbuild, blue
pearl - naked in the raind and a few modern love and scsi av
whitelabels wasnt bad. A+++++++++++++++++++++++++ will visit
again
