What's about the double album "Trainer" by Plaid? Are old
tracks by The Black Dogs? Is it a good album? Give me some
answer...

...some old TBD tracks appears on Trainer as well. Ken
Downie was not quite satisfied with that. ;-)

Also, get Black Dog Productions 'Bytes.'

That album is turning into my favorite Warp release to date.

It is a funny album...I never think I fancy listening to it,
but when I put it on normally when it is the closest CD to
me I really really like it.

unfortunately i managed to buy this right before i got about
15 or so Ds burned from modex's collection, so i still
havent had the chance to giev it a decent listen!!!

i know i love tracks one on disc one, but most of it didn't
really grab me......
i think its more of a "sit in car and smoke bud" cd or a
background cd.

...coincidence... I bought Trainer double album last weekend
and I think it's a nice album. Anyway I prefer disc2 than
disc1, 'cos first Black Dog tracks was too easy, imo.

i really like trainer.

despite how old some of the tracks are (uneasy listening is
apparently 1989), the production is still solid and i listen
to it more than some other more recent acts.

i like the beginning of disc 1 and the end of disc 2 the
most. stuff like balil's "uland" and plaids "angry
dolphin"...fucking classic.

it had to grow on me... but it has a warm feeling... its
great to listen to it... someitmes sounds dated... but I

I agree that this older production stuff finds more time in
my player than a lot of the newew acts.

And btw, tracks 2 and 3 on disc 2 are about as good as it
can get, amazing.

there are essential black dog tracks missing, and there is a
far superior 9 minute version of uland that should have been
on "trainer" instead of the four minute version. i think
many of the tracks on "trainer" are for fanatics only.
however, there are some essential plaid tracks (though if
you can get "angry dolphin" on vinyl, do it). overall, i
thought "trainer" was disappointing, especially since i
already owned most of the essential tracks.

i've had it for about a month now, it takes some time but
after a while it really grows on you. I must admit, I
haven't really given the first cd much of a chance, it kinda
bores me (maybe it'll grown on me someday). Tracks like
Reishi (new fave), tan sau, angry dolphin make it such
worthwhile purchase.

Nah, there's a double-sided poster included in the inlay -
it has the Plaid 'TV' logo on one side and a kind of
playground looking thingy on the other. It's nice.

Track 1 CD 1, has me thinking that I made I bad purchase.
Then I listened to both CDs in their entirety and I kicked
my ass for ever doubting the all powerful plaid!
