What places are there to check out at the above locations? Is there anything i've GOT too see whilst I'm there?
I don't care whether it's touristy or not.
Tanx.

San Francisco and Berkeley (across the bay) both have Amoeba Music record stores which you have to go to.
Los Angeles had the newest and biggest of the Amoeba Musics. if you're going to skip one, skip the Berkeley one.
the best record store in Las Vegas is a shop called Zia Records. they're a small chain out of Arizona. there are two locations in Vegas.

these are all around record stores by the way. dance specific shops are a bit harder to come by at this point.
eat at Fatburger while you're out here.

shit, i don't know but i do know where you can find Sobchak Security, where The Dude picks up Walter to go toss out the ringer.
he picks him up, just a little of the corner of Highland and Santa Monica Blvd. you can place it by the Del Taco in the background which is right on the corner across the street.

you mean in-n-out? they're all over the area.
i only really know sf (spent a solid two or three days in lv and la each) so here's what i've got:
golden gate park is gorgeous to go hang out in, especially if you feel like just chilling you can go to hippie hill and smoke a bowl and have a beer (granted that it's in a paper bag) in public (not legal, but they basically dont enforce things).
walking along haight st. can be interesting, but gets old after a while.
amoeba records is not something to miss at all - best music store (vinyl too) ever. it's like the costco's of record stores.
check out if there are any shows at the mezzanine (mezzaninesf.com) - it's my favorite venue in sf by far. amazing sound system, two floors and four bars, perfect blend of having enough space if you need it but also packing it in like a small club, and great dance music with some experimental stuff as well (saw autechre there a few months back, fucking bassiest show i have ever felt). upcoming shows are: glitch mob, soulwax (oct 30th plan to be there if you can! billed as soulwax and 2manydjs, and previewing their concert film, plus some really good local electro-house djs), and mstrkrft. seeing justice there was fucking epic, but alas i doubt they will ever play shows that small again. also, it's a cheap club, most shows are $25-30 max for doors at 7 and music till 2.
and hey if you're going to be driving some sf to la, you should stop by santa cruz on your way and say hello! we can grab a pint at the pub and i'll show you around a bit.

You definitely need to check out the Amoeba records on Haight street (Haight street in general)
Also keep in mind that on every THIRD Wednesday of the month all of the museums in San Francisco are free admission. That includes the new and incredible California Academy Of Sciences which just opened for the first time yesterday, definitely check that place out.
If you want cheap sex and strippers, go to the Market Street Cinema on a weeknight, preferably drunk or buzzed. The strippers there arent the best quality in San Francisco, but theyre friendly, raunchy and most of them will fuck you for a small price. The place is huge and dark and a lot of fun when youre drunk and/or high :)

I can't recommend any electronic clubs in Los Angeles, pick up the Weekly sidewalk paper for a list of shows. Downtown pretty much closes at dusk, but Little Tokyo has some foody nightspots and the Echo Park area is worth exploring. Amoeba on Sunset and Vine is the biggest barn of music around and the Cinerama Dome next door now serves alcohol. If you ride the subway, there's the newly-polished Egyptian Theater at an exit; the old-school movie cathedral is an experience in itself. For museums, there are better collections in the area, but the Getty Center is free and the buildings and panoramic views can't be beat. Visit Venice during the day to buy things and sunset for massive drum sessions on the beach. Santa Monica 3rd street is always crowded evenings and great for people watching. Food? Forget In-n-Out (mediocre) and Fatburger (overpriced), taco trucks are the quintessential Los Angeles meal.

nothing wrong w/ In-N-Out and Fatburger is fucking great. i'll have to get after one of those taco trucks too.
Amoeba is on Sunset and Cahuenga Blvd. about a block down from Vine.
love 3rd St. in Santa Monica. the indoor mall part is all torn to shit right now though. pier has a new ferris wheel.

Yeah, I was probably a bit harsh on those two. In-n-Out is the most consistent cheeseburger around. Order a Double Double animal style anywhere and you'll know what to expect. (crisp, clean and better than any Big chain) Fatburger, on the other hand, I've found to be really hit or miss. But when those fat fries hit.. oh mama. Both essential stops, but not the end-all eating experiences people make them out to be.
Oh, and don't forgot about Tommy's!

essential = worthwhile
Burgers are everywhere, but really good Mexican food is unique to this section of the globe. That's all I meant.

los angeles: there is a lot of things that you need to see, i'd recommend going a bit south of la, to check out the beaches/relaxed living - really fucking recreational if you ask me. back to la city, take a trip up mulholland drive, astonishing view over the whole city from a legendary road. be sure to check out inglewood/compton as well, just for the balance of things - its also quite an experience (keep your windows closed tho). do not buy weed of some strange crackhead at long beach, it will make you hallucinate.
las vegas: do you really need instructions? free beer if you play at the bellagio, just so you know. im not much of a gambler, so mostly i was just sitting at the low slots gettings tons of free drinks and beers - i came out with a plus of 400$ after las vegas. i mean, there is no need for instructions, it will all come naturally.
san fran: golden gate park is the place to get weed/drugs - amoeba (as people already have mentioned). try to avoid the main turist attractions, they are a waste of time. the getty center was a major disappointment.
arh fuck it, i just realized that you've already been there.
