No.. my first entrance to "Electronic Music" was...... well
the first one that got me into it would probably be some 808
State.. A LONG time ago.. or even before that with the
cheesy stuff on TV. But the first purchase I made {i had
various techno tapes in my house FAR before I bought any}
was Junkie XL's "Saturday Teenage Kick"... fuckin' awsome CD
to this day!

I really got into electronic when I bought Mortal Kombat. I
bought it for the heavier stuff but when I heard Orbital -
Halcyon +on +on I realized electronic wasn't the cheezy shit
played in the lame ass'd clubs.

David Holmes' remixes of Die Laughing by Therapy? then on to
Orbital via the Box together with the Chemicals Exit Planet
Dust. I was always a rock fan, now I never really listen to
it.

Oh, first Warp purchase was the RDJ album. I had read about
him and thought he sounded cool. I didn't like it at first
and it was never played for about two years. Then I tried it
after and loved it. I picked up new ears along the way I
guess. A learning curve.

i got into jean michel jarre in a big way when i was a
kid-especially magnetic fields and a compilation called the
essential-i still think the oxygene album is fantastic
record. then i got into spacemen 3, my bloody valentine and
jason pierce mentioned that he was into orbital so later on
i bought the brown album by orbital, and a trance europe
express cd -which got me into the sabre stuff, and warp and
ambient works 2-then i checked out ambient works 1 and on
and ive been hooked on the cunt ever since...

The Richard D James Album and I Care Because You Do were
definitely the first albums that got me into electronic
music. I don't buy albums, I burn them... so they're the
first albums I DOWNLOADED.
