Why don't they make them like this anymore?

Mickey's Garden

Lovely

I could watch these all day.

Great stuff. I love all those old Disney joints, especially
the one where Mickey is on the chain gang.

I remember when I was really young I had this compilation of
Fleischer Superman cartoons, and they just amazed me, the
fluidity of it. And the whole Art Deco look... couldn't
describe it back then but they felt special.

warner bros !!

actually that is one of the first times ive seen a mickey
cartoon.
disney was never on tv!! no station could afford to pay
disney.

at least i think thats what it was all about.?! maybe i
should have bought a video?

i never saw any diseny ....yet everyone was banging on about
em..
haha where was i?? did they ever air disney in the UK???

i did see an advert for fansasia mickey and a few broom
sticks ...i remember think what lovely animation ....but i
think it was for the video? oh well.

The Goofy How-To videos were always what I liked best, there
was a Mickey show where he got a motor home. A weekend
don't feel like a weekend unless I louging around the house
with Tom n Jerry blaring. Have you heard of NovelToons? I
got a whole video of them, bought it at truck stop.

Here's a good place.

i have the first seasons of teenage mutant ninja turtles and
duck tales (actually, the first ONE HUNDRED episodes)
downloaded.

i think my next nostalgia-fueled download will be either
chip n dale (the original or rescue rangers) or bucky o'hare
if i can somehow find it.

Because they would have to use real pencils and brushes
instead of a wacom and flash.

While you're at it check these: Cities of Gold, Ulysses 31
and Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs if 80's cartoons are
your thing.

Saber Rider was my favorite, there's also a Tom Swayer anime
and another cartoon about an orphan girl I forgot the name
of the cartoon but it was really sad, I remember that the
ending made a ton of kids seriously depressed and the
producers of the anime had to come here to talk to the
parents, crazy times.

I was all about Duck Tales as a kid. Rescue Rangers and
Tail Spin were ok but Duck Tales was where it was
at. That elvira bitch always wanted his lucky dime but old
Scrooge was too clever for that!

The older cartoons with Donald Duck and Huey, Duey and Luey
were good too. Like the one where they buy him a box of
cigars for his birthday, but he finds the cigars hidden in
their clubhouse! He stuffs 10 cigarettes in each of their
mouths and lights them. "So, you wanna smoke do ya?" How
bad he felt when he learned the truth of the situation!!

Old Disney movies are really really good. Snow White,
Sleeping Beauty, the original Fantasia, Cinderella, The
Sword and The Stone. They have a suprising amount of depth
and are even sometimes a bit dark compared to the Pixar
stuff coming out now.

yea tom and jerry were awesome. it sucked when they made
tom start to talk. An occasional "huh" and "wha" were
acceptable though.

i'm looking for the Tom and Jerry episode with this secret
agent/007 theme where jerry chases tom in a car and ends up
in tom's boobytrapped stronghold.

one of the first scenes has jerry emerging from a native
american statue smoking cigars. it's all very odd but
definitely the best episode of them all. please help!

The Internet has kind of upset my Nostalgia, and ever since
I got nostalgic for old BOC records it was if the nostalgia
node of my brain had fedback and cauterized itself, but I
keep it vaguely alive by never, ever Googling "Wattoo Wattoo
Super Bird" and just keeping it alive in my imagination.

Mickey's Fire Brigade is awesome.

I love cartoons from the 30s, the animation looks so busy
and weird.
