calling someone else stupid says more about you than it does
about the person you are calling stupid

i mean so what if someone fits your description of "stupid"
- you dont fit my description of "tolerant" if you don't
accept them after assigning them that descriptor

i don't think you judged anybody.

it is a valid question: why does 010101 publicly put
himself on a pedestal above people who he perceives to have
embraced an illusion?

yea because I was trying to keep it light and redirect it
from becoming a long winded argument like we used to have on
here ALL THE TIME.

I believe in the christianity, but i am no goody goody and i
am not going to preach at you.

I just think it is socially preferable for people with
different beliefs to just avoid the subject altogether.

I'm sure this thread is just a joke, but I'll say this. The
world would be so much better if everyone stopped worrying
about what others believed (Christians included) and just
went about their everyday lives. Most conflicts seem to
start over differences in beliefs.

WHY I'M NOT A CHRISTIAN BY BERTRAND RUSSELL

my version is shorter... i'm not a christian because it's
made up rubbish, developed from more made up rubbish by sun
worshipping egyptians who knew no better.

as Doug Stanhope once touched on...my instincts are my god,
and the only thing i trust.

In my country people dicided to go all anti religion and
everyone can just believe in life! But it's not working as
most are looking for 'religion' elsewhere. People have
always been and always will be desperate for spirituality.
You can't reinvent the wheel. I don't believe in anything
and I'm alright, but thousand and thousands aren't. They are
not the problem, instead the problem is the mad strains of
unreality that breed in the weaknesses of faith and
humanity. That happens everywhere from government to
business to the internet. It's all about the vunerabilities
of the human heart.

Cliff Glitchard
Your not wrong. But actually religion is interesting from an
outside perspective. Religions are structures in which
people seek to understand themselves, but metaphores and
ideas get twisted into blind dedication. Religion is a way
to personify life and understand it's seemingly pointless
complexity. I'm sure we'd all love to think we're so evolved
that we no longer need religion to understand life....we
have science and ideas. But people still keep searching.
I need to fuckin lighten up! why is there a thread on
fucking religion here. Lokk at what your doing to me.

scientology is a great example of the concept of
religion...

money driven control freaks exploiting the goodness and
naivety of the human soul.

what is meant to be a progressive and spiritually guiding
nature acts as a smoke screen for corruption and murder.

religion whilst overall a seemingly harmless and fruitful
concept, is destroyed by the thing in essence is trying to
overcome.

life is full of irony.

The problem with religion is the never ending line of cruel
bastards that love to control and manipulate desperate
people and that is not exclusive to religion. But it is like
a beacon for it

You know when you lie in bed at night and wonder what it's
like/not like to never ever exist again, for eternity. And
that wave of fear hits you? We've all had it.

Well Christians are the ones that bottle out. Instead of
accepting and getting on with their lives they're paralysed.
They need to believe there's something after, so they invent
a fairytale about Jesus Christ and some stupid book that
will promise eternal life. The deliberately delude
themselves, but not wholly.

The don't truly believe - if they did they would ALL be on
the streets preaching God's word. But they delude themselves
enough to cover up the fear. After several years it becomes
a bad habit - like smoking.

Unfortunately, they're too selfish to understand that their
fake beliefs contribute to untold suffering and misery in
the world. They're a small cog in a hideously destructive
machine. Their contribution to mankind has been wholly
unbeneficial; such ignorance is a waste of a life.

I'm not so sure. If you had a small Christian country
attacked by Muslims some of them would probably become
suicide bombers too. Human stupidity knows no bounds
whatever creed, colour or sect.

Only ultra-fanatics become SBs, and they are stoked up,
brainwashed and manipulated something rotten to do it - but
yes, these bell-ends really do believe.
