2 weeks ago me and a friend went out for some curry and
asked for the hottest they had. We both regretted it as we
both became incapacitated for about half an hour, just
focusing on breathing while saliva dripped out our mouths.
After that we didn't get the picture and went for some
suicide wings, which was also insanely hot. The thing is,
afterwards we felt awesome, and my cold went away within
hours.

Now I've been making curries everynight, and even went to a
place where I could get some crazy hot sauces (those ones
with names like satans blood, ass on fire, hot bitch with a
strap on, alien anal probe, etc) and have been using that to
spice up the curry.

I feel great, and managing to finish a meal is like a trial
of torture, rewarded by a pleasant delirious state that
lasts up to 2 hours.

Mind you the ring of fire the next day is hell.

I preferred that over ones with pictures of exploding asses.

You are addicted to capsaicin. You like it because your
brain tells you that pain is being felt, so it releases
happy chemicals.

yes, but is that necessarily a good thing? I hear capsaicin
is very healthy but I also don't know if there are any side
effects. I haven't lost my taste buds trying out these
extreme sauces (yet), but I can eat a bowl of hot peppers
like nothing now, seems I need stuff with more capsaicin.

It's a slippery slope. It goes from Indian to Piri Piri
spices. You need to order some Rahita (spelt something like
that) too. Something that quells it.

I recommend wearing latex gloves when cooking with peppers.
Its seriously painful when you get that stuff under your
finger nails. I don't even want to think about what might
happen after rubbing your eyes.

i was preparing a curry this afternoon and I scratched my

opposite of goldbond.

that stuff is great, but not that spicy in the scheme
of things. I can't remember the last time I've made noodles
and left out Sriracha.

asian noodles, that is.

I haven't tried it on spaghetti yet, but I think it would
probably be pretty good.

i tried it on pasta once, with some random marinara saurce.
it was fucking awwwful.

and yeah, per volume its not crazy spicy, but with the
amount that i put on my food, its practically the only thing
you can taste.

my worst hot sauce experience was with daves insanity sauce.
i put quite a bit on a burrito, not realizing how hot it
was. i literally almost fainted. i had double vision (not
blurred from tears in my eyes, but double fucking vision
from the pain), couldnt walk straight, and i dont even know
how many beers i guzzled to try and put out the fire. i dont
think i ate for the rest of the day my stomach was in such
turmoil.

jesus, I steer clear of the "insanely hot" and
"ass-exploding" varieties, I like to taste the food itself
too. :)

well i had gotten a little sampler pack of four hot sauces,
and had tried the first three already, none of which were
very hot (but quite tasty anyway, i highly recommend daves
brand hot sauces), so i just figured the "insanity" label
was a misnomer.

it wasnt. :(

oh and the craziest part about my insanity sauce experience
was that i didnt really feel that much actual pain. i was
feeling all the horrible horrible effects of it, but the
pain itself was absent. it was like when you cut a huge gash
in your arm but you dont even notice it.

LAZY_HOT_SAUCE

My favorite at the moment and a great website with music and
kids on BMX's and everything.

officially the best hot sauce website ever. (Unless someone
else can find a better one)

I love Sriracha. There is also Sambal. I have a nice asian
sauce recipe. Equal parts Ketchup, soy sauce, Honey, and
Sriracha. The Sriracha really adds a wonderful flavor to the
sauce. Tweak to your taste.

a bit. The chef felt so bad for us that he brought us some
milk and bread.

ever wondered why curry meals are so cheap and spicey ,
where the raw individual ingredients mount up to so much
more if you buy them fresh and try to do it yourself?

i dont.

Its almost impossible to make curries at home that rival the
ones you get at a restaurant. There is something about them.
The smooth delicate texture and complex flavors

This one sushi place used to make awesome TNT rolls. You
could order them 1 - 10, 10 being HOT.

I ate indian food for the first time recently, too. They
dont use as much meat as other foods, which is fine. I like
garbanzo beans too and they use those a lot.

since i reached 30 my taste for spices has gone crazy, i can
hack far more than i ever could, and actually find myself
adding spices to most meals now.

PS. encona hot pepper sauce is orsum on pizza, or in soup.

Me and my friend have came pretty close actually. Our thai
red curry and vindaloo each taste almost as good as the
stuff from restaurants. Which is surprising because we've
been using curry paste rather than making the paste
ourselves.

I've always fuckin loved spice. But one day I way hungry
round my mates house and his mum would lock up the
food......honestly, there was a tiny padlock on the
biscuits. The only food available was lemon curd (fuckin
cheap shit too), bread, tandori spices and noodles. So I
fried up the noodles in a pan with lots of oil and NUFF
tandori.................It tasted absolutely, gob shockingly
foul only I didn't really admit this to myself until i'd
eaten 60% of the whole pan. To get rid of the undeniably
shitty taste I started eating the lemon curd with a spoon.
The rest of the day was a nightmarish mix of spliffs, too
much sun, and nowhere to take a shit. The weed was stalky
and tasted like old teabags or something. This mixed with
the flavours of my previous meal so I eventually threw up
alot of orangey worms (tandori noodles). It was really hard
holding in a shit whilst puking that hard. Spices are off
the menu now.

fish sauce is in a lot of great sauces and food that doesn't
even taste fishy. I think its just a unique satly taste.
