woah man!
You know, I've seen you out drumming on several occasions by
the QFC and I gotta say, you weren't looking very healthy
and neither was your girl. Good to hear you are getting
un-homeless.

anyway, good luck to you

so-- 3 years after I went up to seattle and fooling myself,
I'm finally done with the suboxone (after the methadone,
after the heroin), and back in California.

Yeah-- that's right, I lived in a doorway, drummed on
buckets, abused drugs, and am now clean, thoughtful, and
lovin' life. I tried so hard to ESCAPE-- society made me
sick, for I was born into it, and it was born into me, but
this need not be so-- i have found my differentiation, and
have SEIZED MY POWER.

I had a dream about julius caeser-- i didn't know it was him
at first, he looked at tattered and broken-- we were
standing on a castle rampart, and he ran around the corner
and I heard wild zaps and zings, and all of a sudden these
terrible banshees and medusa monsters came flying out from
around the corner, moving in hyperspeed right by me! Then,
chasing them, came Julius Caesar-- all spiffed up in shining
armor, a trim haircut, and dark angular eyebrows!!! He
chased the demons in the future out from around the corner,
rode his chariot up to me, hopped off it, came close, and
grinning ear to ear, indicated the edges of his eyes and
mouth, and said, "You have wrinkles."

Considering I hadn't had sleep without opiates in like 2
years, this was a very vivid dream!

Well, I guess what I'm trying to say here, is, hello
xltronic, i missed you. I am glad we can be friends again.
I am sorry I was such a shitty interwebber for so long.

Who wants a kiss?

I am glad you are getting you shit together. I saw a few
friends go down the heroin ladder and it is a real
acouplishment to get clean. I hope you have support to stay
clean, you will need it.

Is you girlfriend clean too?

hells yeah-- she still drinks, but she's a little younger
than me and still sorting this stuff out. Man-- I'll tell
you what, I got the psychological aspect of clean down while
I was still living outside, now that the physical component
is there too(and considering how long it took, and what it
means)--

there is no way in hell I would ever clog up my pain
receptors like that again.

my head feels all crystal clear and fresh-- everything I
experience is richer-- and the best part? I can take a shit
any time I want, instead of trying to time it to the
constriction of my inner tube

-- working, going to school (better late than never), and
its grrrrrreat.

The best part is the drumming/music-- i couldn't think
straight enough to work my way into good time signatures--
now I'm banging out septuplets and shiz. Every day I can
stretch my loop a little longer, a little odder. Inner
balance is the name of the game. Odd tuplets, baby.

Thanks for the encouragement, btw. I'm lucky I haven't die,
but then again, we all are.
