reposting this from optimus's thread since flyagaric beat him to it. --- my dad was kind enough to get me the DVD box set of Blue Planet and Planet Earth. They're the BBC version, with good Sir David Attenborough narrating Planet Earth. He may be narrating the Blue Planet as well, I'm not sure as I haven't watched it yet. It's 10 discs in all. I didn't even ask my dad for it but he surprised me and it was damn nice of him. Made my christmas. : ) Also my mom made a delicious christmas dinner which was really nice. I don't often get to enjoy mom's homecooked meals anymore. Oh and my 17" CRT monitor was malfunctioning (flashing and strobing slightly and losing the color saturation), so I used the 90-something dollars in Best Buy gift cards I got from relatives and the rest of my money and bought myself a 19" widescreen LCD monitor. 3000:1 contrast ratio and 2ms response time = crisp picture, so I'm happy. All in all, I did alright this christmas. :) |
