I just ordered this finally, who knows then it will arrive though, so i've got time to have a look at what games to get for it, I want 2-3 to start off with. I've ordered the Zelda game, any recommendations for any other must own games for the Wii?
I keep hearing the Wii has the best selection of games out of any of the current consoles... thats one of the reasons why I bought it over the PS3... which is expensive and only has one or two decent games.

hold on, you forgot:
- resident evil 4 wii edition - metroid prime 3 corruption
i've also really enjoyed:
- call of duty 3 (but wait for the new medal of honour somewhere in 2008)
- mario strikers charged (great for multiplayer and online play)
- wii play (i'd get this instead of a seperate wii-mote). It has some really fun games. I played them with friends again this weekend.

I was playing Wii sports the other day, not sure if that comes with the console but the boxing game was brilliant.

I want one, but not for a while. I was just at target and a truck came in with some. But i figured there were little kids who'd like one more.
Is the Wii even a next gen. console? From what I've read its just a redesigned game cube.

i have okami on the ps2. i like it. it's generally received as a great game.
the art style and gameplay are similar to zelda. i'm sure the paintbrush aspect of the game will work great on the wii. i kinda wish i never got it on ps2 so i'd be getting it on the wii in the future.

graphics wise, this thing is no match for the 360 or ps3.
you need to look at the games and the wii-mote controls.
personally, i think metroid prime 3 for example looks absolutely beautiful. For me, games don't need to look much prettier than this. On top of that, it has fantastic controls thanks to the nunchuk+wiimote and the gameplay is outstanding.
If developers work hard, they CAN design very pretty looking games for Wii, even if it doesn't have HD graphics.
Play wii sports. If you don't like anything about it, forget about purchasing this console. I played wii tennis with 4 people at the same time this saturday and it was fantastic.

I opted to say fuck those little kids and bought mine last Sunday. I'd been waiting for Target to get some for a while so my buddy that works there let me know.
it comes with Wii Sports, yeah which is so much fun in itself. i'd also bought the Wii Zapper so i could have the Link's Crossbow Training game. it's really easy and short but also fun. My first real game will be Super Mario Galaxy when i get some christmas cash. Metroid Prime 3: Corruption of course sounds great, but found the controls are really going to take some getting used to. it was so odd trying to used the Wiimote and Nunchuk together to get yourself to move, but i suppose i'll have to get used to it because most games are going to be controlled this way.

I played the Wii for the first time yesterday at a xmas party and seriously..... i dont understand what the fucking big deal is??
My playstation 1 had better graphics than this piece of shit and the stupid gimmick remote is unresponsive and inaccurate.
The thing seems designed specifically to exploit legally retarded people, 7 year old children and middle aged hipsters who grew up playing nes and will buy anything nintendo.

I played the Wii for the second time yesterday at a xmas party and seriously... it was very funny but my arms and shoulders hurt bad. Zelda twilight princess is a nice game, tougher than gameboy and snes versions I think.
