so ive just learned plaid are playing a show in san
francisco at the mezzanine for only $20.

now, im still sort of so-so on their albums, ive
redownloaded a few (greedy baby, double figure and spokes)
to re-educated myself, but how are they live? because live
electronic music is either great or terribly boring from my
opinion, and if these guys are good act live id hate to miss
out.

i have no idea on them live, but in regards to the albums
you redownloaded, greedy baby is a definate no no.

Hey, thanks for the heads-up. Not a huge fan of them but
like jtalton says, get a little alcohol in the mix and it'd
still probably be a fun show.

They do have a few good songs though, I really enjoy
"Assault on Presinct Zero" off Double Figure.

I have an unfortunate sleeping schedule. I tend to go to bed
around 5am and wake up around noon or 1pm, haha. That's what
comes I guess when you work evenings.

I'd ask you the same, but I imagine you're grinding away a
term paper or some such :p

years ago saw mira calix open for plaid who were supposed to
pen for []pusher, tom was sick, the 3 hour drive to see
plaid was awesome

*drives to San Francisco

Mr. Hedphukkerr, when you see the boys tell them to relase
Tekkon kinkreet here in the states. If they are selling them
for normal $15.00USD pick one up for me and ill pay you
back.

love the guys, but theres nothing really huge about their
live show. i mean they play on macs and have videos playing
behind them and not particularly awesome videos or anything,
but it you haven't seen them it could be cool. least they
are pretty much guarenteed to play good music and what more
can you really ask for.

when are they playing live? I might have to drive up there
to catch it. I saw them with prefuse years ago, and it was
damn good. This was around the time double figure came out,
which is one of my favorite albums...along with not for 3s

LAZY_MEZZANINE

its prolly my favorite club ive been to. has lots of bars
and lounge areas, but a small enough floor area that people
still like to get squished together a bit

Yeah mezzanine is a good club, good location.

I did catch Prefuse the other night in the city (at
Slims)... the show was actually much better than I thought
it would be. Slammin hip hop and he brought a live
drumer.... looked like he was even playin' the bass at
points.
