If I were stranded for my entire life, each item would become extremely boring after exploring ever facet of it. So my answer would have to be a boxset of some sort for each category, so I could craft some kind of tool out of it that's useful day to day.

You know how they remake films, like "The Ring" for example? Well I was thinking that they don't often remake books. Sure, a similar tale can be told by different authors, but as to actually re-writing a book, I don't know how common that is. Not very, I'm going to posit, for the purposes of this post. And one of "my ideas" was to re-write Joyce's Ulysses, word for word, and call it Sisyphus... yes, dwell on that. It's kind of like intellectually calling into question, I don't know, all sorts of shit, right?
To answer the original question however:
BOOK: "Bad Wisdom" - Bill Drummond & Mark Manning (It ALWAYS makes me laugh, and I'd need cheering up)
MUSIC: "SAW 85 -92" - Aphex Twin (I've listened to it enough for the past 15 years, I'm sure it'd last the other 3 months tops I'd manage to survive on an island)
FILM: "The Spy Who Loved Me" (Classic Bond, and ideally I'd die at the point when it says at the very end of the credits "James Bond will return")

I envy you though as, very dearly, I'd like to be able to read it for the first time again. However, if I carry on this banal path of self-destruction I may yet reach a level of forgetfullness that will enable that.. happy state of affairs.

You mean the book by Albert Camus? Don't wate your time with it, its' just a pile of nonsense.
Anyway on a desert Island paper is precious so take the biggest book you can, which contains the most paper.
