Add "wumpus.game@gmail.com" to your Google Talk account, and
message the word "play" to him. It plays a game of
Hunt The Wumpus, the classic UNIX game, with you.

Contents of communications and usage.
The Google Talk software stores the most recent lines of
your text chats locally on your computer. Google Talk does
not archive the contents of your text or voice
communications on Google's servers, and we will not archive
such contents on our servers without your express permission
and clear notification to all our users. We may relay
content for users in some cases. Google employees do not
access the content of any instant messages, voice
transmissions, or files you send or receive, except as
described in this policy.

Sounds fair enough for me.

my gmail username is ventolin. i'll be using it once i move
out.

they'd be mad to archive that lot on their own servers.

luckily, the FBI has a few lovely servers of their own.

i've heard that a little bit down the road all conversations
on google talk will be encrypted, so google won't be able to
read your shit.

this post by a jabber developer sums up pretty well why I think it's cool.

Hopefully google talk will carry enough weight to force some
of the other major players to open up enough so that it
won't matter what IM client you use, they can ALL talk to
each other. I think it's possible, anyway.

i used it to talk at my mom the other day.. she doesn`t have
a microphone, so it was a mostly one-sided conversation..
however, i did managed to call my dog over to the speakers,
from 170 kilometers away :)
