my cat caught her first mouse

and it's just a baby mouse.

this is absolutely gutting. i almost stepped on the little
creature before realizing what it was. it cant be more than
months old.

I dont know what my cat has been doing to it, but it's only
half alive, though i don't see any bleeding. It has its eyes
half closed as though it just wants to sleep forever :(

If i would keep it in a box, i'm sure it would die on its
own, but i couldnt get myself to kill it by drowning or
whatever else.

oh my goodness you wouldnt believe how impossibly innocent
and harmless this mouse looks :((((

what to do?

The fairest thing you can do to it is put it in a glass of
water with baking soda.

Haha, that is quite a predicament. Makes me glad that my cat
drags her mice to a makeshift torture chamber under a shed.

I hate seeing any creatures dying, even bugs. Watching the
life leave something is heartbreaking, for me. I'm sorry to
hear about this little mouse. Even though there will
inevitably be other mice to replace this one, it still
sucks. :(

Make carbon dioxide and kills it painlessly.

Give it to your cat to finish off.

Yes put it in the micro!

No seriously ,take it out and just hit it with a rock or
shuvel or something. Badabing badaboom , very quick and
painless.

i dont want it to suffer anymore. giving it back to the cat
is out of the question. She will probably drag it under my
bed where it will rot.

i could take it outside and throw it against a wall, hard.
but i would hate myself for it. i could flush it down the
toilet knowing that it would live for possibly minutes or
longer before dying slowly.

it's too young to survive outside.

these mice are born inside houses. they propser in homes
because they have food and shelter.

anyway, it's getting out of shock. i'm not going to kill it.

deliberately making animals suffer is the first sign of
psychopathy.

That mouse seem sad. You should try and give it some
pleasure, for exaple try to tickle its clitoris, or thinger
it and make it reach climax.
