i have mixed feelings about this one. i love some tracks
(land of sunshine, midlife crisis...) but some
others just don't do anything to me (crack hitler,
jizzlobber, a small victory...).

i listen to the tracks i love quite often; rarely to the
whole album.

too bad the vid for "midlife crisis" is quite hard to find
(i found it anyway but couldn't find an ipod friendly d/l
link)....watching "everything's ruined" vid a moment ago
after about 15 years was priceless

freqy : lyeah those are two real good songs/clips
some of the other clips ive seen (brixton accademy) make it
look
like the band totally has $$ and are loaded, not the nitty
gritty FNM
they used to be "we care a lot" days, but
id still go see them when/if they come to the states

i exchanged the real thing cd for temple of the dog cd with
my mate back in school days - i might have been foolish, but
these days i rate both albums high so i don't know....

and FNM reunion without Jim Martin is no fucking reunion,
there

sorry Mr. Freqy:
i rememeber FNM being crazy, spastic and wild

and their re-union shows, seemed to clean cut and perfect
(hense the all white background crap) Sorry, but it just
seems cheesy and like a cash-cow. Mike doesnt really want to
be there.

no jim martin in the later live shows. but patton is blazing
in that last link i posted. the whole band warmed up real
well.

Thanks freqy I'm clip converting them now and will check em
out later. I sort of see where you're coming from recycle
the danger has long since gone, always fun to see what
Patton does with old songs though - he gets so bored with
singing em over and over you can count on one madcap moment
per song, my favourite was usually during 'The Crab Song'.
The version of 'Real Thing' above is nice, slightly lesser
quality than the one on 'You Fat Bastards' but same deal,
the way he sings "And once you have bitten the core you will
always know the flavour" is amazing.

Did either of you see the recent live Fantomas DVD? Pretty
cool, wacky ending too.

I think this album is becoming a bit dated by comparison to
subsequent releases. Still was my fave for nearly two
decades
