of graphix

No way N64 is the best, better games, Zelda: Ocarina of Time
is one the best games ever, Golden Eye, Wave Rave, etc, the
N64 was good for multiplayer mayem the only think better
that the psx had was the CDs and better sound.

So far I think I'm most impressed with genesis, maybe I just
have nostalgia for it. I just care about the games, not the
system specifics.

yeah, i love genesis.
i guess i prefer PS1, but the graphics aren't too good.
BTW; Goldeneye is one of the best games i've played...and
it's on N64.

i used to be a huge console junkie....and N64 knocked the
socks off of even military comps while it was being
developed. But if ninendo would have stayed ture to it's
release dates, it would have probably done so again but as a
published unit.

I have both machines and would have to say that the N64 is
more powerful. From a games point of view it's close, lots
of good games on the PSX versus a few excellent games on the
N64. You should be able to pick up both 2nd hand.

The N64 is the worst crap in digital entertainment ever
created... I mean come on, that machine can't show more than
like 5 frames per second in any games... oh my god.
Playstation 1 on the other side, is truly amazing... just
look at the final fantasy games, and now even FF6 is
released. And then we have the Mega Man X-series, Resident
evil, etc etc etc.... it's just an endless orgasm of gaming
extravaganza. Fuck the crappy n64... with no games AND
shitty graphics.

LOL, knocked socks off military computers during
development? Haha, that's funny.

The n64 is like what.... 50mhz? Playstation 1 is on 33 mhz
=)

but u cant compare vid.games specs with computers.

But what on the PSX compares to Mario 64, Goldeneye, Perfect
Dark, Mario Kart, etc? Even Tekken 3 Gran Turismo and MGS
don't come close.

I'm not a Nintendo Zealot, as I've already said I own both
and I'm making a statement of my unbiased opinion.

I somehow always have the feeling that anytime I play N64,
I'm in the Super Mario Land...., even it's an "adult" game
like James Bond or whatever....
P.S.: I don't do drugs...

Seriously, I totally prefer PSone, since they all have these
cool games! :)
Add the fact that I ain't a freak when it comes to gaming...

but i just can't stand the n64... such a disappointment it
was for me back in the old days.

Well.... i love the nes and snes tho

yeah the N64 was a very disapointing console in fact...
not enough RAM and not so good graphics (ugly in fact!),
just a few games really worth it, and i don't think ocarina
of time was good... it was rather awful and too easy and too
repetitive and unimaginative, fuck it

Whoever said that n64 had more game selection if a damn
fool! It was made for frickin' kids! Even so yes... yes it
did have some good kick ass games, but ps1 had WAY more. WAY
WAY WAY more.

ps1 all the way on this one. fuck n64.

ps2 is the shit as well... fuck yeah

First of all: The N64 kicks bloody anus. That's a fact, not
my opinion.

The percentage of quality games is much higher on the N64
than on that oversized huge-pixeled calculator known to man
as the PSX. The PSX had some good games for the standards of
1995, that's true, but it just can't create an atmosphere.

offline REFLEX from Edmonton, Alberta (Canada) on 2002-03-20 10:32 [#00132187]
Points: 8864 Status: Regular

WHAT!? It did create an atmosphere. So n64 had a few good
games, the large majority of them where crappy ass kids
game, platform titles made for little crappy kids. Did you
see Resident Evil series on n64? It was crappy as hell! So
what, they were shitty ass large polygon creatures all
games for n64 can bite it compared to Resident Evils, FF's,
Silent HIll, Tony Hawk, all das shit.

can't stand in front of the gamecube! imo

offline eXXailon from purgatory on 2002-03-20 10:41 [#00132217]
Points: 6745 Status: Lurker

I don't say the N64 doesn't have crappy games. Every
platform has. But the PSX had waaaayyy more shitty games as
a percentage of the total. Have you ever looked at the newer
N64 titles (i.e. with expansion pak)?. Perfect Dark,
Shadowman, Turok 2, Zelda: Ocarina of time, Jet Force Gemini
and many others. Even the games with poorer graphics rule
because of the atmosphere, the replay value and good
controls. The psx and ps2 have lousy controllers.

The games on N64 games were great its better to had few that
+3000 and most of them suck.
Wave Race, Mario64, RR64, Zelda series, Pilot Wings 64,
Mario Kart, F-Zero X, Lylat Wars, 1080 snowbord, Golden eye,
PDark, Turok series, Nintendo knows gameplay and
originality.

N64 is a more powerful machine but its wasnt used to its
full potential unlike the PS. That was used to it's fullest
in games like FF8 and wipeout 3. N64 seemed to want to
release conversion games all the time like wipeout 64 and
quake and all of these were shit conversions. Goldeneye was
a jewel for the N64 because without it, it wouldnt of lasted
long. N64 is for people who love Nintendo but the PS is for
people who love playing games. This is my oppinion as I feel
that in this arguement, there isnt room for "And that's a
fact!" statements.

PS1 is superior.

p.s. SNES and NES own of N64 agreed.

I love em both! Both the PSX and N64 hold some of my
favourite games. And I believe it's rather obvious that one
of my favourite series of all time is the Resident Evil
series :-)

I have had a PS2 for over a year now and in my opinion it
didn't have many good games in the beginning but in the last
few months it's been hell for my wallet, so many great
games! I'm really looking forward to Gamecube, Nintendo
definetly know gameplay. And a giant applause for Rare who
have created some of the best N64 games (Goldeneye, Perfect
Dark, Jet Force Gemini etc).

But I'm also a huge Sega fan, and in my opinion the
Dreamcast is the most underrated console ever!

N64 didn't have the third party support... only Nintendo
made the REALLY awesome games for N64. Sony had
Squaresoft... Final Fantasy and Chrono Cross, Xenogears, all
that good stuff... that's why Sony kicked Nintendo's ass.

The N64 was more expensive. You had to buy memory expansion
pak for games like conckers Bad Fur Day (IMO the best N64
game) and The games worth getting cost £40+ anyway. PS had
£30 games and then there was the platinum collection
(finally for the PS2 now!). The Third party thing was def
the clincher tho.

BTW as anyone seen that long PS2 Ad? When the french guy
eats all of the accessories? That made me wet myself! It
looked really tasty!

(cute childfriendly game to totally fucked up singing shits

Yeah, Gamecube has Square now... good for Nintendo, bad for
Microsoft, eh?

PS is way better. The list of great games is much longer...
Symphony of the Night is the game I need... I can't believe
I've never bought it. And now that I DO want it, I can't
find it. :-( I want to cry. I'll find it someday. And it'll
be nice and cheap, although it'll have that ugly green
''Greatest Hits'' label on it. Icky!!!

games! They were too fucking hard, though, especially Empire
