Excellent work, Fat Kaimo. I really like your album.

hey thanks for the feedback everybody!

Phobiazero - If you wan't good quality cover and all the
songs in full, you'll have to buy the cd from me...

Korben Dallas & Doki - thank you...

Raimons - Yes, i'm finnish... (what do you mean by "how do
you spell it lan?" ?)

If anyone is actually interested on buying the cd, be fast
because it's most likely to be very limited... It's a
goodlooking blank cdr with a high quality colored sleeve.
For europeans it's 5 euros + whatever the the posting costs.

Fat Kaimo

I reckon that your music is my favourite out of everyone who
composes on these pages. It really is excellent and I
reckon you should try and make a career our of this.

I would really, really like to know what you think of my
music - sorry to spam you, but I would very much value your
opinion. It can be found at

music, but it's not very likely... at least if one want's to
keep his artistic freedom. maybe i'll check your music, but
right now i'm pretty busy.

marlowe - dj krush?! which song?

phobiazero - i see you've sent me e-mail, i'll answer

I listened to some of your tracks a while ago, because you
gave a link in a forum discussing my own shit. and i must
say i was impressed! its not really my style, the tracks i
listened to, but i really liked them anyway!

corny question: what did you use exactly? to me it sounds
like you use a lot of samples from indian music... if you
generated those sounds yourself, i´m seriusly impressed!
keep it up anyway!

offline fat kaimo from Finland on 2002-03-23 17:16 [#00137734]
Points: 2003 Status: Lurker | Followup to DirtyPriest: #00137729

hah...

"a lot of samples from indian music"... on one song maybe...
it wasn't indian really but... most of the sampled stuff is
very mutated w/software.

and for what i use - umm. my primary tool is actually the
great old impulse tracker! i also use a sound editor
w/plugins, and a multitracker program... guitars, piano, sw
synths, old records...

offline DirtyPriest from Copenhagen (Denmark) on 2002-03-23 17:21 [#00137740]
Points: 5499 Status: Lurker

IMPULSE TRACKER!!!!

thats really cool! i never figured out that program. if you
like IT, have you checked out buzz? i think you´d really
really enjoy it!

offline fat kaimo from Finland on 2002-03-23 17:25 [#00137745]
Points: 2003 Status: Lurker | Followup to DirtyPriest: #00137740

IT rules man... i just the best tracker in the world!

i got buzz and it's nice, but my pc is a bit slow for it and
it's not as good as IT with the samplebased stuff.
dx/vst-support is cool.

offline DirtyPriest from Copenhagen (Denmark) on 2002-03-24 12:46 [#00139022]
Points: 5499 Status: Lurker

For me, i just think IT is unnececarily complex, compared to
what you can do with it. have you checked out fruityloops?
its my sequencer. its simple, but i find it can do anything
i ever wanted.

offline fat kaimo from Finland on 2002-03-24 13:22 [#00139032]
Points: 2003 Status: Lurker | Followup to DirtyPriest: #00139022

yes, i've tried floops, but it feels kinda cheesy. easy to
use, but... i don't like it much. yeah IT is oldskool but i
guess that's one reason i love it. and it can do much more
than you'd think.

offline DirtyPriest from Copenhagen (Denmark) on 2002-03-24 20:02 [#00139579]

I adore cheesiness.

no, actualy i think fruityloops is ok, when you get to know
it well. just use some other samples than the one in the
default pack! they suck pretty hard. fuck... it can
sequence, and ill do anything to defend it!

offline fat kaimo from Finland on 2002-03-24 20:50 [#00139639]
Points: 2003 Status: Lurker | Followup to DirtyPriest: #00139579

yes... it's a matter of taste really. but i don't think you
can sequence very complex stuff with floops. like tempo &
measure changes etc...
