i was at aphex this weekend. lievd up to it all, although it was a bit tricky slipping past the hundred-person line outside... i was a bit bummed by the crowd which stood there more like they were watching duran duran, and even some lighters up in the air... the sound was the sickness and the cure! the dub sampling was nice. and so i saw at least 5 people recording with mics and cameras (not sure what they were trying to get on film). i would love to know if anyone online has a bootleg of this or similar sets. |

i was there on sat too but because we got there late, we missed the first 20 minutes or so. once we were in, some drunk bastard knocked me down and my knees are bruised up. i couldn't see anything from where i was except a purple lit stage and 3 things and a robot guy. only saw rdj when he walked off stage at the end of the show. sound was great though and i recognized some but not all of it. aside from being knocked down by someone 3 times my size, i had a great time. i have a pic but i guess i cant post it here.hmm |

Jah i saw Aphex at ATP as well, i was dancing like crazy.. people made a cirlce around me even though i was in the front i guess i dance wierd.. peace |

did anyone actually see richard on stage? My friend told me that when he saw him on some orbital tour (back in the "on" era) richard was hidden in the back with a bunch of black sheets on his gear. My friend said that there was some guy dancing on stage, and everyone thought it was richard, but it wasn't... |

here's three possibilities- 1 there was about 20 minutes of pre-edited mix where he was on stage doing his goof dance with midget gals, after which he went under to do a set using some of his material with some other tracks. the later seemed less clean - it was definitely live. 2 the whole set was live, and the masked man was a fake windowlicker. 3 afx never came to LA, but was back in brittain laughing uncontrollably. i think 2 might be the most likely. i saw him in '95 and he never visably appeared on the floor. |

I saw him even though there was a giant infront of me... he was sitting on the front of the stage like a nut with his feet dangling off the stage with his labtop in his lap while a midget and a guy in a mask that reminded me of what doctors used to wear in the middle ages to protect themselves from Plague... hehe and i dont remember knocking anyone over i was sober :) |

This all sounds so fuckin interesting, god I would love to see RDJ live, sounds like quite a unique experience. He is gonna be performing on the Rephlex north america tour, isn't he? |

nice photo of rich, phob....and i don't think richard will be on the rephlex tour...i think someone poseted a link to all of the bands, and richard wasn't on there.....I could be wrong...but i don't really want to get my hopes up |
