Since I downloaded Rushup Edge I have listened to it so much
already, great stuff. Surely this can't have been leaked by
accident? A label as small as rephlex... well whatever its
all about, thanks!

I think I heard this in Death Fuck (the leaked version)
today:

"This is not the Tuss"

I'm not joking, there's a vocoded voice in there and I think
it says that. Starts around 2:30.

OK, some news from the real world:

The Tuss = nickname for Tahnaiya Russell. Tuss is RDJ in
collaboration with various friends and invited
guests,including Luke Vibert.

Myspace page for Brian Tregaskin + tracks = fakery. Brian
Tregaskin is an imaginary person.

Leaked "Rushup Edge" album is fakery, except for Synthacon 9
which was ripped from an privately recorded DJ set (not
Snowbombing,or any others publically available) in 2005.

RDJ's "Confederation Trough" recording studio will open for
business later this year.

but the leaks are too afx sounding and quality for not being
afx...

but shyntacon is too clean (beggining and ending) for being
cut of a live set...

but leak 2 follows too good shyntacon (almost same
sound)...

Hi -

For the sake of clarity, which leaks/fakes is everyone
referring to? So far, I see we have the following:

- 6 tracks @ [33min]

- Several myspace snippets, which now include Teddy Oggie

- A second myspace page that is wrapping its URL to make it
look like the first, but is clearly pisstake versions of
something that might be a pisstake version of something
else.

So are there more now or something? Are people really
starting to believe the 33min release is fake or are they
convinced because ONE online commerce site said it was 6
tracks long. They also said The Tuss = 2 people, so why are
we not believing that?

Is it possible that the leak was a promo and the promo wasnt
the full album? Perhaps this one site (I cant find the url
right now) that said it was 6 tracks, is just referring to
the same PROMO everyone has heard so far.

I sorta recall Autechre saying at one point they were going
to start releasing 2 albums at a time - one for promos and
then one for the actual real release. Or perhaps it was
something along the lines of making the promo only half of
the content of the release. Isn't it feasible the same
situation could be applied here?

Frankly nobody knows for sure, and the people who say they
do, wont say how, so at this point nothing is definitive.
I'll believe it when boomkat and rephlex has samples up,
along with the statement that it is 6 tracks.

the only "fake"/leak worth talking about is the 6 tracks
one.

I think it's damn good and therefore i think it's the real
deal.

i say "fake" just because of darktimes's post. the way he
wrote it makes me think he's being serious.

we will soon find out so there's no need to panic about all
the attempted confusion.

IMO the 6 tracks definately aren't 'fake' — Synthacon 9
and Rushup I Bank 12 (Immense) have both been DJ'd by Aphex
Twin some time ago. I think you can tell by how good they
are anyway, I've been looking forward to them being released
since then.

I agree the production is more polished than Analord, more
like a cross between Analord and Drukqs IMO.

Also, when I checked the Tuss myspace the first time the
link was posted, the songs were the same! I think one had a
different name though (Devon etc.).

Also, I wonder if there's a clue in the numbers as to who
made what?;

Fredugolon 6
Synthacon 9
Last Rushup 10
Rushup I Bank 12
