Hi. This is Adam once again, I have for you not a video,
but original music that I have made. I would really like to
know what all of you think, and if you don't like a trak,
just skip but it. Don't leave the page.
My music.
Thank you all.

-Adam.

i like the melodies on surrounding spec
ula... should be longer. when food stuff
er starts my though is why not a differ
ent synth sound? the drums are good.
again, should go longer. your drum pro
gramming recalls hangable auto bulb.
together it sounds more like luke vibert.
i think you should expand your neoclass
ical style to include some counterpoint +
more effects. the tracks are too linear.
to support the syncopated polyrhythms
you want stronger melodies. listen to ae.

myself already.

Syncopated polyrhythms? Linear? Counterpoint? Neoclass? I am
14 for god sake. I have no idea what you just said. I am not
really into the technical aspect of music. I just do what
feels right to me.

I am interested in what you thought about the euphoric
kingdom.

i dislike myspace too,
and im sure that feeling afects my perception of your
music.
that one minute track is nice,
but some sounds are almost as awful as the page design...

Ok, what sounds do you mean, and they are all close to a
minute.

Polyrhythms = When you've got several rhythms of constant
notes on top of each other, for example in the same bar:
-16 16th notes
-8 8th notes
-12 triplet 8th notes
etc. etc.
There seems to be quite a lot of this at points in Surround
Specula.

lol I'm 14 aswell and I kinda understand the rest but
they're hard to describe.

This is strange stuff, but nice. As said earlier, HAB drums
over video-game-like pads. What did you use to make it? Try
making your stuff longer, and give it more of a structure
with a build up and climax. BTW do NOT expect constructive
criticism from guys at XLT lol.

Have a listen to my music here (Soundclick) and here (Bebo).

Could you tell me what you thought of the euphoric kingdom?
I just finished it, and really would like to have feedback.

Probably the one with the most HAB like drums to it. Very
video gamey melodies, the organ reminds me of N64 games
(that's not a bad thing). Again, should be longer and built
on a bit more, I wouldn't say it's finished yet.

I don't think it is a bad thing at all. I love the retro
games.

i'd like to hear it when you finish it.I was thinking about
doing some nes mega man or batman stuff.

haha yeah. yeah it's weird stuff, I'm using a couple of
"C64" synths for the melodies, and using strange glitched
out snappy drum synths. oh, as well as some beatboxing loops
lol.

Cool. I like kind of strange sounding things, but the thing
is, people say strange, but strange is not what I hear.

ok here we go...
good thing you mentioned you were 14 otherwise i might
suspect you to be mildly retarded. unfortuantely a lot of
my review is gonna be based around the fact that you are 14,
but don't worry it's not all negative. alright then
let's get into it shall we? first coulple of tracks seem to
be pretty aimless, wierd sounds wacky beats, no direction.
but then that might be the case of you just being 14 and
having no sense of musical structure. moving on, since all
the tracks, like you said, are around a minute long, it
tells me that again, since you are 14 you suffer from a
little adhd perhaps. getting everything organized in the
track and all lined up to your specifications probably took
you quite a while i'm assuming and you have too much
creative enrgy to focus on one track for too long it seems.
that being said, considering your age, i believe, time can
only tell whether this will be just a passing fad for you or
if you stick with it, maybe desire will inspire you to seek
out more knowledge of musical structure and history. like
anything else in life if you keep at it the more you
practice the better you should become, if not, hopefully
it's only a fad.

it's not all really that bad, compared to what i made when i
was 14, this is actually pretty amazing.

But do try to experiment abit with composition in terms of
building the track itself. They all start with a beat, then
the melody comes in, beat evolves abit, melody evolves abit
and then it ends... know what i mean? it's all the same,
every single track.
