WHOSE BAD HANDS ARE THESE? PT. 1
Samples on boomkat!

"we strike the real gold with Autechre's shockingly tight
edit. About as close as they've ever come to a straight 4/4
techno track

Errr... if you've got one of those fashionably short
memories, I guess that'd be true.

Wow, another superb boomkat review.

I had a listen and music wise it was boring, but because it
is autechre I've ordered 10 copies. Of course it is already
out of stock. You can tell because it has that little "add
to crate" emblem.

I think they get some monetary recompense from the "European
Comission for Raising Awareness of the word 'Essential'" for
every time they employ it.

is it just me or have the last 2 remixes AE done extremely
half assed and sound like they were produced in under 1
hour?

actually the hip hop one they did was good but i wouldnt
call that a remix, im talking about the mark broom one and
this most recent one.

sounds like a serious case of "idm is dead, long live
techno!".
it could be me, but is surgeon autechre's third band-member
or has autechre split-up and joined forces with surgeon? the
title says it all, of course. but i'm thick today, so i have
to restate the obvious.

o, and one more thing: ESSENTIAL!!!!

seriously though: give me a call when you see this in a
digital store somewhere (bleep/beatport).

The sound quality is a bit wank in the sample but it sounds
like a "techno" remix of Pro Radii.

Autechre haven't made a good album since Untilted.

i'm surprised it took them (ae) 15 years to figure out how
to make an interesting techno track.
wasn't it speedy j who said the idm-crap was just a day
worth of wankery, and techno far more difficult to produce?
i'm not implying that jochem is the granddaddy, am i?

i'd say autechre is techno. they were from the beginning,
then they went a bit less techno for a while before they
returned to the roots with untilted

The Autechre mix sounds mighty fine! If they continue to
develop themselves into this direction like it seems they do
(think untilted), they'll be to techno what Twin Peaks was
to soap opera's: a slamming succes of off-beatness in the
commercial world. That'd be something. Autechre being as
mainstream as Twin Peaks ever was. (And Richard asking
himself where he went wrong.)

i couldnt really enjoy speedy j music.
arent remixes notoriously difficult to
produce? i have heard like barely any
of autechres remixes i bet their good.

You know, I rarely go to Boomkat but browing there now I've
seen the word essential in about two or three reviews in the
past 15 minutes.
