Anyone got any rough idea when the current situation with
the Wii (IE, not being able to get one) is going to change?
I'm not desperate to get one and refuse to pay silly ebay
prices on principle, but was just wondering if anyone had a
halfway-educated guess as to when the supply should
increase/demand will tail off? The thing has nearly been out
3 months now, it's starting to get a bit silly and seem less
like "Wow everyone wants one" and more like "Wow, Nintendo
really have rubbish manufacturing/distribution facilites".

The fool in Game who clearly knows a great deal about
economics helpfully informed me, "If demand keeps up as much
as it is now, they'll keep selling out quickly." Can anyone
top that little nugget?

Are they still impossible to get? Pff. I played one and was
distinctly unimpressed with every game. Even Zelda.

Have you tried them? They get really really boring really
fast.. it's like a novelty item that you're fascinated with
for about half an hour.

i just had another tennis tournament with a mate and after
weeks and weeks it just gets better and better. I havent
even played zelda yet but i dont ever regret having bought
mine. So many great games to look forward to, like mortal
kombat, mario galaxy, metroid prime, hopefully a new mario
kart. These games all start with the letter M.

And they're all sequels, I wish there were some new
intellectual properties. But they should all be great
anyway, except Mortal Kombat.

end of march they multiply the production of the new load of
Wii's, and from April till some time, there will be plenty
of Wii, maybe twice or three times the amount they build
first period

Balls. Turns out my family and girlfriend spent ages looking
and managed to get me one for my birthday (yesterday).
Unfortunately, the CD drive on it is knackered. On the phone
to Game at the moment, as ideally I want a replacement by
saturday for when my mates come down.

DM: I've played hours on them, I really enjoy it. As J198
says, you can play tennis for ages and not get bored of it.
Warioware (which I have) is insanely good too.

Sorry mate.

No problem, I'm the same with yours, I can only ever
remember it's in June. :)

Just spoke to Game and should have a new one tomorrow
hopefully. I've got Excite Truck, which is really good; it's
a bit like Smuggler's Run. Also have Warioware (which I
bought ages ago), Rayman Raving Rabbits (more like Mario
party than a normal rayman game) and I've got the ubiquitous
Wii Play and Wii Sports. Also got the full complement of
controllers, so Saturday should be a good laugh.

Don't worry, it's going to be gash, aside from the fact
everyone bar you (and possibly Mr. Kirby) will be attending,
we've got in loads of drink, various curries and sushi will
be made saturday afternoon and Singstar Rocks has just
arrived too. :D

Game just emailed to confirm the replacement Wii will be
with me tomorrow.

Well, I hope you will continue finding joy in it then! And
congratulations on your birthday, although a bit overdue!
I'll send you some fondue.

Excellent, dessert was one thing we still needed to sort
out, so could you make it a chocolate one?

I could set up my chocolate fountain, but I've never managed
to get the consistancy of the chocolate quite right.

Sure thing! In fact, I'll send two. One chocolate and one
fish!
