i think industrial techno/hardcore will be the new trend
for the couple 5 years
with people like surgeon, british murder boys are getting
quite big i think also in holland their seems to be a really
revolution with industrial hardcore partys with new labels
like the third movement its about time hard music is
becoming good again after all that fake shit like
hardstyle/hard trance
what do you think is industrial hardcore/techno also getting
bigger in other countrys?

I hate "hardcore" with a passion. It's not remotely menacing
or "hard" sounding. It's comical and to me, has the same
effect as the "I know a song that will get on your
nerves..." song.

Sorry, that's not a very constructive post, I know.

surgeon DOES rock, but never knew this was called
'industrial hardcore'? I think it's a shitty name

It'll always be niche. Artists like Alec Empire have been
pushing that kinda sound for years.

Surgeon is decent, but his stuff isn't just limited to that
"industrial techno" sound.

It also grates heavily after a while. Ever heard a 3 hour
Schranz techno set? Jesus.

yeah surgeon is industrial techno ofcourse
but the term industrial is really weird i think
you can mean industrial rock like throbbing ghristle, coil
or techno like afx-joyrexs,anologue bublebath,surgeon
in a way autechre is industrial too they sound totally like
machines especially their latest stuff

Hardcore died 9-10 years ago already... But it's been
picking up steam again recently. Here's some shit i was
doing back in the mid-90's:

I hadn't listened to hardcore in years and didn't exactly
love it when I did, then went to an event a month ago in
Cardiff and had a ball. 12 hours of stomping! The beat never
changes! Everyone's wearing fluffy boots! It rooled.

really cool tracks mostly industrial really like hellfish
too the stuff aphex plays at the end of his sets :-)

Here's more if you are so inclined: LAZY_TITLE

I'll warn you, those tracks are dated, and produced poorly.
Then again, most early gabber was. :)

to me its all more "Post-Industrial" its still heavy and
the sound design tends to be more textured and edgy but the
arrangments definately are inspired and influenced by the
techno genre [and its many subgenres]

to trewq's comment i agree that autechre fits more into this
style
not so much with amber and incunabula but from tri repetae
on
the sound design and their arrangment process harken to the
place and
moods that artists like coil, hafler trio, spk, cabaret
voltaire, etc come from

Are you refering to "power noise" or "power electronics"?
generally slower than gabber/hardcore, in the 140bpm range,
kicks have a short attack, and more "crunch" with static-y
overtone.

I think it already happened about 10 years ago and didn't
catch on, I don't see it doing so now. The problem then is
that if you have taken a pill you want to feel uplifted and
more than 10mins can be quite boring if you are loved up. I
like it and it does remind me of some of the clubs I used to
go to when I was a kid, but I would always find myself
migrating to another room that was a bit happier.

hardcore/gabber isnt dead but its not actually alive...
it became more dedicated hard music
as 4 me i l really liked that stuff in 96-98 (australian
sound, frenchcore, uk sound) and love to the hard fast
industrial beats was the consequence to popularity of
rave-culture of early 90's then it was forgotten even for
clubbers till 2005-2006 so now it plays together with hard
idm, d'n'b, and even pumpin club shit at open air parties
and dancing fuckers like it again much
btw i like to compose very different music from depressive
dark ambient or classic idm to techstep d'n'b or speedcore
and even fuckin dafthouse sumtimes. yes.
that's why i like ELECTRoNIC MUSIC. AND LIKE IT ALL.

Sounds like Halfassed structure, repetative beat and
samples.

That must take alot to do....

if its in reference to power-noise/electronics i aggree with
010101
that shit is so redundant after about 15 minutes
and like gabber seems to be locked into a very narrow
formula as far as arrangment is concerned

there are like a small handful of artist in this genre that
stick out
and or keep things interesting in this realm
