OK this record came to me today in the post. It was sent 2nd class, which I think is a little pikey considering how much we paid, but it's not really a big deal I suppose. Anyway, the sleeve has a beautiful matte finish with very nice artwork. The vinyl is heavy and the sound is phat. It is old skool detroit-style techno in the same vain as Model 500 and B12. I'd say it sounds somewhat closer to the former and that is my guess for who the artist actually is. Regardless, they are really nice tracks. In an email, the label owner said this: "This one is something old.. A record some of you may know and love, If you are not familiar with it im sure you will love it too....... And is 100% legit taken from the original master dat from the original artist." I don't know the record personally, but I will post short samples later so that you all have a chance to hear what it sounds like and perhaps give a track id. Is it worth £18? Well, i've spent much more on records which don't sound as good as this, so I can't complain. |

Doesn't sound very good tbh. 18 quid is a massive ripoff. Its clever, cos they get lots of different fan boys to think its their idols and buy it. Who is it anyway? |

costs a hell of a lot to do 100 coloured vinyls with the high level quality of production the RUR's have i know the guy from AI, and he is making no profit on the series. also i know some of the artists involved are only giving tracks under the explicit instruction that there are 100 copies. and there are some artists with a *lot* of clout on there...if anyone was allowed to say just who is actually on the series, those records would be selling on ebay for SILLY SILLY MONEY |

I'd prefer the vinyl to be black personally. It sounds better as far as i'm concerned. The A side is Prototype - Biotic. The B side is slightly better in my opinion, but i'm not sure who that is yet. Both have been on my playlist for a few days now though and are genuinely lovely tracks. |
