This song is pretty amazing. Really intense and freaky.
I've only started getting into Tangerine Dream recently, but
to me if you compare Tangerine Dream to Kraftwerk I think
Tangerine Dream comes out on top as far as timelessness of
their music. By that I just mean that old Tangerine Dream
albums seem less "dated" then old Kraftwerk albums.
Listening to Phaedra I find it hard to believe it was
released in the early 70's because it sounds like something
that could come out today. With Kraftwerk the limits of the
technology they were working with seem to come out more in
the music. That being said both groups seem to have been
going down different roads with their music. Tangerine Dream
were more abstract electronic music, while Kraftwerk were
almost pop. Both groups were pretty amazing for what they
were trying to do.

indeed, this album is good. reminds me a bit of Mike
Oldfield. phaedra was, apparently, their first really
popular album.

i too picked up Phaedra last friday and i gotta say i'm
really impressed w/ "Mysterious Semblance at the Stand of
Nightmares". i'm just getting into them too, and find them
personally more interesting than Kraftwerk (nothing against
the masters) as i always was something of a soundtrack guy.

Ralf und Florian (early kraftwerk EP) sounds quite similar
to Tangerine Dream

i just get the feeling i'm not going to hate that newer
stuff as much as everyone else.

If you have a feeling you won't hate the newer stuff, I
recommend "Mars Polaris" from their newer output. I must
say, though, that I think they've gone in a dissappointing
direction since the 70s.

i fucked a tweaker bitch named phaedra a couple of times a
few years back around halloween time.

she had a lazy eye and fake tits.

oh and she had her uterus removed. i think it was either
because of cancer or for money on the black market for more
ice.

tangerine dream are nice. i like them a lot.

i remember first listening to tangerine dream on halloween
when i was about 4 or 5. my dad had it playing really loud
and took all the lightbulbs out the house and it was scary.

there is a section from one of the songs on Rubycon that I
swear is right out of Echoes by Pink Floyd... and
considering Meddle came out before Rubycon, it's kind of
disspointing if it was ripped off... but it's still a nice
album...

I bought the CD last year!!!!

Only listened once though, and can't remember how it sounds.
I guess it's good though. I'll give it another listen
in several months I guess.
