If you give us an interesting question to chew on we'll be
grateful to you; good questions are a stimulus and a gift.
Good questions help us develop our understanding, and often
reveal problems we might not have noticed or thought about
otherwise. Among hackers, “Good question!” is a strong
and sincere compliment.

There's always hackers referring to themselves as we trying
to spread the religion of hackerism.

the years of my life.

are you kiding me?!?!? dude have you heard

i totaly get what you are sayin', it was the same way for me
with mambo. i'm tellin you man, tito puente and celia cruz
give rdj a good run for his money now!

i see that..and i agree..for sure!

selected ambient works are a little different maybe..mostly
because there aren't any vocals on those. now, with
dickinson singing and addition of three guitarists, all
those songs could sound quite different!

Richard said something in some interview about being
influenced by both the sound and imagery of Iron Maiden
(look at him as a monster in the Come to Daddy video and
compare with Eddie), plus the whole structure and "feel" of
Drukqs can be directly compared to the Maiden's
"Powerslave".

Before Aphex I used to listen to Avril Lavigne's music.
Fact.

I think that explains everything.

judging by
1) the amount of plebs who now profess to having liked
detroit techno all along
2) the amount of [spam] that features clean 808/909 snares
3) the amount of "(insert random word) acid" tracks

i'd say Yes afx has changed the way a lot of people think
about music

or rather he has changed the way a lot of IDM scenester
fanboys think about their current music taste

Aphex Twin is great, but not as great as the squeaking of
rats in the daylight, the hiss of a dying cockroach, the
crow as he sqawks at his child-girl.
