industry, unveiling the long-awaited iPhone.... Users

What is the aim of the future? According to Apple /
Microsoft everyone wants to

Download the latest (fucking awful) movie trailers
Download the latest (fucking awful) music
Create a mix CD but don't infringe copyright
errr...
that's it

At least it makes the bitching and moaning at xlt with your
cellphone more easy than ever.

I'm sure for $200 extra it comes with Sudoku and Knitting
Patterns, each as exciting as fucking "music" and "videos"

And don't forget the "cool"-factor. Most cool-factor the
extra 200 can buy!

isn't that what most cellphones already do, these days?

I've read that BitTorrents are soon to be accessible via
mobile phones (or cellphones as Americans and qrter
call them).

From BBC news:

In a move set to shake the telephone industry, Apple
confirmed that The iSheep will come with 5 free "bleat
tones", with the option of expanding to millions more via
the iBleat website (price TBC, but expected to be around $2
with necessary DRM protection to avoid counter-bleats).

"Our userbase expects more" commented Steve Jobs. "As long
as they keep giving us money, we will give them exactly
that: more faulty hardware, suspect after sales support and
the legendary Apple overcharging which we have become
renowned for." he added.

The iSheep is expected to be released shortly. Intensive
promotional campaigns featuring midget pole dancers
silhouetted against mentalist red and green lazer lights has
already begun airing in the United States.

"It has never been a better time to be a sheep. Join the
bleatalution!" added Jobs.

Actually, iPod has been disliked here for some time. Brisk
summarised why in a humorous fashion.

offline Dannn_ from United Kingdom on 2007-01-09 16:22 [#02029185]
Points: 7877 Status: Lurker

Oh i know, but I think most people could have predicted a
few years ago that people will start to hate iPods as they
became unbearably popular, as is the way these things tend
to go, so its a bit tedious having to go through the motions
of it all

A bit like the tedium of having to go through the motions of
a new Apple product.

bare in mind you clicked on an article and read about a

Tedium is usually straightforward. It's things which aren't
straightforward which usually hold interest.

Hey! I said slowly.

Look at the topic title: "The future isn't as good as it
used to be" I know it's a long way from that to "I hate my
family" but it's the same road.

Hey just accept the new iPhone, .. I'm not going to buy it,
I'm not going to buy an iPod or an iAnything, not out of
some romantic notions of consumer rebellion, but because I
neither want nor need these things, and anyone fetishising
them I think is an arsehole. So, calmly ignore that and
consider your next purchase, you fucking penis.

not a defense, it's not a defense at all. i think a lot of
their shit is retarded, especially those mini super micro
pico mp3 players who cost way too much even though it's
probably more costy to cram shit together like that (you
will need stronger islanders). BUT, i think all the attacks
on here are completely pointless as well. like all my posts.
it's the sum of nothing. but the text, of course. text,
yeah. text. txt. t.t.t.t. hey.

oh, and honestly. what's wrong with laziness? huh,
spunkyboy?

there already are ipod/music phones. and they're shit. jack
of all trades, master of none and all that. infact, does
anyone use their phone for music? its always shit.

and this thread is supposed to be about the future. in the
old days the future had hover cars and food pills and robot
servants and international money. that was so much cooler.

but it's got MULTI TOUCH MODULAR SURFACES.

for some reason the "tech nerd" in me just ejaculates over
anything like that. i really hate hybrid devices that try to
do everything at once with too little capacity to do two
things simultaneously, but that touch thing looks so
neat. but then there's the pricetag. and it will
probably be revised in under a year after launh. and and
and. ugh. i'm going to go sob over my being now. sob acid.
