I have always enjoyed that word and frequently say it to
myself. Squance, squance, squance.

Only recently did I learn that it is a surname!

Are there any Squances present?

I love you, Squances.

It's like a mix of a squint and a stance, like, maybe, you'd
just shat yourself.

It's the sound of a trampoline when you jump on it. Yes,
people are called after sounds!!

Ha! I thought I'd heard it in an electronic music context
somewheres. My mission is now to hear this squance track.

Yes and Genesis references! Hahaaaaa! You and Ezkerraldean
are fortifying my thesis that IDM = prog.

Has Rick Wakeman ever played a gig with sexy keytar lady?

IDM is like faux-Prog, less virtuoso but with the Quest for
Cod-Complexity, the 6 disc album sets, the updated fantasy
art. ... as likely to be listened to by role playing gamers
of all ages, .. ugly fuckers.... absurd titles... people
like Cygnus looking to make Electro Concept Albums about the
Uncanny Valley (despite not really getting the gist of
it)...

Do you like non-faux-prog, though? I'm partial to early-ish
Yes and Genesis myself, though Emerson Lake and Palmer has
always stuck in my craw.

Bola Soup is IDM=prog that works, methinks.
