Sorry, this is nothing to do with Zilty, but it's an
emergency and I need to post this picture to get mechanical
help.

If its presence upsets you, please consider it artwork for a
netlabel release.

Every time a motorcyclist comes to look at the picture of a
bolt I posted (under the guise that my bike is off the road
and I just had to spend £200 getting insured on my old
man's car and I need their help diagnosing the problem),
Phobs earns 2p in advertising. It's a scam we're running.

I've just taken my rear caliper out (disc brake) and cleaned
it/serviced it, but upon assembly, it's not right. I broke
one of the bolts getting it out, but have successfully
extracted that and got a replacement. I think that pumping
the brake (I bled it) with the other bolt out of alignment
may of caused the caliper (a floating one) to pivot around
the bolt pictured and damaged it, causing the beveling. I
want someone to confirm that the 3 bevels on it are supposed
to be there, but didn't have anywhere else online to host
the image at short notice (hoping to fix it tonight).

I have no idea what that meant, but I've a feeling that, as
a man, it really ought to get me hard. That it doesn't has
me plagued by guilt, anxiety and feelings of inadequacies.

My floating caliper (girlfriend) often pivots around my bolt
(penis) causing damage (ejaculation).

Tell Julian Clary gays aren't the only one's who can make
supid sexual references out of rubbish. Thank you.

My girlfriend's brother professed the same feelings when I
managed to diagnose the cause of and fix some (trivial)
problems with her parent's garage door and one of their
cars. He felt that in spite of his success in life, his dad
had failed him by not teaching him these sort of skills. I
pointed out that he could afford to pay other people to do
those things for him, but he maintained "it's not the
same".

Well, nice to know those people who sneered at the idea of
taking design technology at A-Level are seeing that there is
a point to DT afer all. It was always seen as a bit of a
dupper's subkect at my school and they nearly canned it due
to lack of applicants.

As an aside: The bevels are supposed to be there and
thinking about it, it makes sense- they allow grease to move
around lubricating (oo-er missus!) the inside of the hole in
the caliper bracket it goes into.

Still not fixed the damn thing. This is getting bad, I may
have to actually pay a garage to fix my bike.

Mate, the spare bolts should be arrived by the time you come
down. If I've fitted them and removed the old ones, you can
have the very bolt from this thread as a souvenir, if you'd
like?

you should make a necklace out of it and then always wear
your shirt unbuttoned to show it off

maybe even have it gilded...

Ha ha! How did you guess? I was actually planning on
drilling a hole through the top of the bolt (like you would
for lock-wiring it) for this purpose. :D

Gigi: I've not got any guilding equipment, but if you're up
for it, I could smear coppaslip (which is a dirty copper
colour) all over it. It'd sort of look like bronze. The
ultimate would of course be to get 'BIYC' engraved in it
then have it gilded.

Bolt Update:

The problem hasn't been fixed, but the garage have diagnosed
what it was- either the caliper, or caliper mount was
damaged and bent ever so slightly out of line. It turns out
everything I did was correct and the brake bleed was fine
too. Bit of a mystery how it got bent, but I don't think
they're trying it on. Now that they mention it, it explains
why the caliper was sliding, but in the slightly off centre
way that it did.

Unhappy Epilogue: Giginger will not be able to have the
pictured bolt, the garage scrap them for "health and safety"
reasons and won't give them back to you. Reason being,
people would be tempted to use them again (as I did, from a
breakers yard) and it's risky to do so. I couldn't bring
myself to explain that I wanted it "as a bit of jewelry, for
a mate" so the bolt has gone to bolt heaven, to be melted
down and reformed as steel billet.

Hahaha, it was a go 20K pic also, and to take the bolt back
from giginger is way to much, a man needs his parts, at any
cost.

I got to sit on Ceris bike. In fact, I have a thread to

Dannn_: Gigi is a "real world mate". Last weekend we were
drinking Vodka, playing Mortal Kombat and doing tracks.

Gigi: And the engine was on. I should of told the garage,
"Look, if I gave a fuck about health and safety, I probably
shouldn't be riding a motorbike, should I?"
