and no, i'm not saying this is what 100% of americans eat, have eaten, and no, i'm not saying that this is 100% of what americans eat, or even of what some americans eat. i'm saying the fact that somebody came up with the idea, the fact that there's a huge market for it, and that it's been a success, is fucking obscene. |

Americans eat a lot. A good 60% of them are overweight. They start wars with everybody. They refuse to embrace the metric system(?!?). They have rampant gun violence. When they come to canada they like to announce they are from the united states thinking it entitles them to special treatment. They give every movie with minor nudity an r rating, while movies with people running around killing everybody get PG ratings. Their cigarettes taste like the bottom of a wet ashtray, and their coke tastes funny too. |

have you ever seen anything even REMOTELY similar to that burger in Europe? I'm well travelled and I fucking certainly have not. Your point is valid - obesity is on the rise everywhere. But not in the same way as it is in America. They coined the term 'morbid obesity'. Doesn't that tell you something? It's on a much larger scale there, and in a much more drastic way.. People aren't obese as they are here, they're so obese they render themselves unable to walk. |

Walmart has those big motorized wheel chairs. Most stores. Its always a fat person, I don't know why they are fat though. MAybe they had a minor stroke and they became fat cause they couldn't move part of their body. Lots of people have a back story and I don't like to judge people at face value. Sure there are fat people. No question, but having lived here I think its mostly due to processed foods, long hours at work, stock piling groceries, and having to drive everywhere. |

i used to be that way, til i turned 30, now i have to exercise more to keep it off americans (some mind you, not all) are getting so dam lazy, we can buy anything we want, computers and toys, and people go less outside,like they used to, everything has a remote, its gotten our country very lazy, and people are exercising less its disgusting to go to the fair or to walmart and see fat fucks that dont take care of them selves, in a way i just hope they die.....and im the one that likes people |

ah, yeah, I know what you mean there's a lady up where my parents live.. she's really fat and somehow she's gotten herself one of those small motorized car-like wheelchairs that she uses to drive to the store to play the slot machines.. at first I thought she was just hurt or something and couldn't use her legs, but suddenly she was standing in front of the slot machines playing, and the "car" was parked outside so she must've walked over there, meaning she's just a lazy bitch. |

I walk a lot and I live up seven floors of stairs, but to burn fat, I'd have to warm up and then exercise, and that is something I rarely do.. I sometimes play football or something for fun with my friends, but there is rarely any warming up... |

there are some people who have had extreme difficulties in life, but i would say 95% of people choose to be fat, if she was able to walk 10 minutes a day is better than nothing and it then could add up to 30 minutes a day strokes are sad |

I think a little bit of exercise like walking around town can make a huge difference. You don't really have to break a sweat. America is so not about walking from place to place. They got rid of public transport on purpose so people would buy cars. Back in the 40's I think. Kinda sucks. Hardly anyone keeps up an exercise regime, but building up a habit of walking from place to place or riding a bike is easy. |

I agree with recycle, but I do not believe that they choose to be fat.. they just don't realise that they are to blame for it or that they can do anything about it due to the way we've removed responsibility for certain of our own actions over the last few years; if you're fat, it's your genes, not your own fault.. or so, I believe, the average fat person believes. First off, it isn't true, and secondly, it is just a way to make oneself more at ease with the fact that one has let oneself get fat, something which, with good reason, isn't accepted in society unless you can't help it, something you convince yourself you can't through this silly belief in genes and society determining everything. |

WRONG! There is no shartage of food in the world There are even farmers that are paid by the goverment to grow food and throw it away. It would also be wrong to send starving African kids food. They need to get on their own two feet and start farming their own land. Otherwise the problem will never be solved. They need a proper government that isn't corrupt and they need laws and rules that are upheld. Just my opinion. |
