The soundtrack was provided by Sonic Mayhem, with some
additional tracks by Bill Brown.

Yeah whats the deal with that, why do some very reliable
sources say the intro was made by Rob Zombie, and others Say
someone else?

Impakt is the Quake guy around here, so I think he might be
right.

Quake1 was soundtracked by NiN, Quake2 by Sonic Mayhem and
Bill Brown, Quake3 by Sonic Mayhem and Front Line Assembly.
I don't know about Quake4, piece of shit game.

But I've heard something about Rob Zombie doing the
introtrack in quake2, not 100% sure.

the intro is done by Rob Zombie, and is credited as
such.

Sonic Mayhem did the "in game" music

notice the difference in quality. imo the Sonic Mayhem stuff
is crap

He's just a kid.

Anyways, I love the music in Quake II. I think I might start
to play on GameSpy again/

After 2:30 I was still waiting for it to cut to some kind of
interior of the ship. Then I saw the progress bar and knew
this kid would never cut to any damn interior.

Quake 2 (c) 1996 Id Software.
