free downloads would feel at home on Melodies Fron Mars, a
bit too cheesy for me though.

the great war...hmm...I like the contrast of the video game
bomb drops against the more realistic sounds and the other
incidental (for want of a better term) stuff. Certainly
interesting.

free downloads sounds very daft punk/george clinton
inspired. needs some vocals. good backing track tho.

thegreatwar tho, was just, well, i did not like it in the
slightest. bbc sound FX vol5 anyone?

I definitely hear the Daft Punk in Free Downloads. Still an
enjoyable track though. The longer it went on the more I
enjoyed it :D

The Great War was not up to standard though mate. Still
better than a lot of the dross from here but it's not one
I'd return to in a Sam D listening frenzy.

i'm glad everyone is taking the great war so seriously, it
surely is a serious piece of sound art

These are great songs and I like both. Free Downloads is
nicely electro funk disco, very accomplished and worthy of a
proper release, and The Great War is an arcade version of
The KLF's America No More. Without the bagpipes.

Free downloads is awesomes.
The chords remind me of some 90's chart house tune....I
can't think what though.

I like Free Downloads, except for the bass. At times it
turns into a memorable hook (or whatever you want to call
it, catchy mini melody), but a lot of the time it seems like
there are a lot of notes that just aren't necessary.

The great war is just silly. I do like the bomb drop sounds
though.

hahaha! the great war is the greatest thing i've ever
heard.

did you take some of those screams from the original postal
video game? they sound very familiar.

i_x_ten was right, they really are from a bbc sound effects
record... maybe postal used the same one

i don't like the great war as a song alone, i might enjoy it
though as a part of a pc game soundtrack

Haha, the great war is awesome, very phvkk. Free downloads
is less kule i think, the lead synth gets a bit grating and
it just kind of meanders on, but it has got a nice loose
kind of swing. Sideways thumb.

XLenT, happy retro addictive gaming fun! makes some of us
pretentiously abstract artists feel like the grass is

i like 'free downloads' horse.
it's not really something i would listen to, but it has a
good err... makes me feel good ... makes me smile about
things. i wasn't really feeling the retro synth untill the
bass line kicked in then i was all, "yeah unhh unnhh" and
yeah. i like it. i'd say, it could use a change here or
there. it's all chorus like and it needs a bridge.

'the great war' is shit. but i gather you intended it to be
that.
