Grinning Ape?

I believe we need more Grinning Ape releases.

Sign up here if you think dan_belch should squirt more
releases in our faces?

Any naysayers will be taken round the back and dealt with by
the Panda.

I'd prefer to have it squirted in my ears instead.

okie dokie!

(also this counts as my vote for "Dan Music" to enter my ear
drums)

'Dan Music'

Let's see if we can persuade him to name his next album
that.

What a lovely and encouraging gesture. Of course I do feel
I'd really be doing you all a favour by

a). Fucking off

and

b). Never making another peep

The next "album" is provisonally titled "Grinning Ape... so
amazing" and, after the ... thing... of the last one, it
will be free and distributed on a custom made USB drive (ie
a cheap USB drive with a plastic toy ape's (or monkey's, or
gorilla's, anything in that line) head forcefully shoved on
it.

This would be a great opportunity to say "Well, I've been
working on this, see what you think" and, you know, drop
something AWESOME. But sadly that's not the case. I've got
lots of rubbish little bits that all need loads of work, but
here's a couple of things which are just a ghastly exercises
in making a racket, which I provide for you here so you
realise you're not missing out on much.

Statics 1b

Tones

"statics" is ....quite good but surely wasn't made by g_ape
- rather by his music lab students trying to imitate g_ape
style after hours.

while "tones" is [a rich beginning of] some classic g_ape
ambient jewel. strongly recommending.

uh oh. the fans are starting to turn on the Ape already..!

this is a sure case of
"the-first-netrelease-was-his-best-work" syndrome.

Sounds good all around. You could do alot with those
delicate floating tones on top of that manic melody in
Statics 1b. And on an unrelated note, I insist that
at some point you finish Happy Shopper. I liked it from the
get-go but I had tacked it onto the end of a CDR several
weeks ago and one evening it came blaring out of my car
speakers and I was transfixed. It could have gone on for
ten more hours. There's more going on in that track than
folks gave it credit for..

its got a nice baroque feel to it, i like that. woefully
underdeveloped though. i liked the synth at 1.05, sounds
like early tangerine dream, but then it stops why? this does

have potential, don't give up

!

i_x_ten is commanding you to continue fighting on against
all odds.
