suck it up, then soak it down some more and suck it up with
a vacuum. i found that it works for like anything, even
juices on a white carpet.

use water that is dirty and spread it everywhere to blend in
with your other carpet so you cant see the original stain..

or the message above mine...

it will be easier to get out of the carpet if it's wet.
don't use to much water though. that's why you suck it up
once, then get it a little wetter and suck it up again. just
keep getting it damn and then sucking it up.

Spread it all over the carpet so that the mud patch doesn't
stand out...

you could take some good scissors or some sort of knife and
cut the muddy patch right out...
..theyll be so pissed you cut the carpet they wont even care
about the mud!

either that or pack up your stuff and get out of there fast

I was lodging with a friend once. He had a new carpet fitted
the week before and i lit an incense cone on a plastic plate
on the floor.
The cone burned a perfect hole through the plate and right
through the carpet.
I was up ALL NIGHT taking little threads from the edge of
the carpet and glueing them on to the hole to fill it up and
trimming them to size.
I had nitemares about waking up and finding the hole still
there for weeks after, but he never did.
Hope that makes you feel better!

paint the carpet a darker shade of brown. dulux gloss will
do the trick.

go to the store and buy a cheap throw rug to throw over it
and say it was a gift
..or just move a piece of furniture over it...
if they ask why the couch or whatever is in the middle of
the room...tell them its better feng shei (sp?)
