hello everything - analord

if ultravisitor can be considered the squarepusher's druqks
(for the classical tunes mixed with harsh extreme artist
style others), do you think hello everything will be related
in any way with analord? a 'back to basics' sounding or
something...

he'll release it in a limited edition binder that he knitted

Interesting topic but it seems ludicrous that Tom would just
follow in RDJs footsteps like that. itd be a little bit sad
but then Tom seems a bit like that.

Have you tried "Ceramics Is The Bomb"? It's another great
Ep.

I think its inevitable that people sound like other artists
in any given genre. as a musician making electronic music
you cant listen to something like Aphex then not be a little
influenced by it. The problem with clark seems to be that he
ONLY listens to one artist at a time and then goes off and
knocks out a release that is pretty much a pale version of
other peoples music. what he does is good but there are
others that have done it better, as it is with pretty much
all music these days. Just look at the current wave of early
80s influenced rock that swaggers all over the album charts.

What the FCUKING beat? tolstoyed !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"if he woldnt try to be so much like aphex"

What ?

I have mildly compared some of Chris's stuff to Aphex,
but they are in no way the same or clones, or copied

Im so going to hump the new Clark CD !!!

clark is tha bomb!
but squarepusher is ace too... :/
how would analord sound if it was made by the big
jenkinson?
the modern bass guitar reminds me more tracks like venus
v.17, than the album ultravisitor itself...

Erm, yeah - wait until you hear Body Riddle in it's entirety
- I've been told it miles ahead of Hello Everything. Still,
new releases by Clark and Squarepusher are good either way.

he isn't copying him..he just foolows what he does it seems.
after drukqs came out clark was doing similar stuff, now
after analords he came up with analogue sounding ep..just
silly imo, specially since they're on almost the same label.

like afx. throttle furniture couldn't be more different from
analord. it's all digital sounding.

if you listen to early live squarepusher, like the 97 liquid
room set or the small 96 clips you can get at youtube, you'l
see that tom has always polayed like on ultravisitior...
full on banging tunes with live bass noodlings.

people seem to get confused when he produced the more
digital go plastic, which by his own admition was him having
fun with the more diogital technology. he continued this
with dyks but has gone back to his old form... as witnessed
in galde1, 2 and on UV

I would like to think H.E. will be more classical
squarepusher and by the sounds of the track at warp.. it is.
you're gonna hear the album, get to love the tracks in that
under-the skin way the tracks after about 20 listens and be
absolutely blown away by his live renditions of them. Just
as its always been.

personaly i think studio albums by tom are a porr
representation of him as an artist. he s a live man, 100%
Why'd you think the cd on dykn was called "alive" in japan?
I feel its because he knows the studio/digital stuff is
relatively less alive than his live stuff.

Here is your answer:

In a recent 2006 radio interview Luke Vibert did with
tripple J listen to what he says about Tom. http://www.aquagak.iinet.net.au/2006%20jjj%20interview%20...

And check out what phillie t said back in April

yeah, people get confused... :/
but its more or less the same for aphex twin, but just going
after the perfect melody and piano soundings, instead of
jazz and bass...
weall know what sp has been doing...
what im wondering is if next pusher album will be a
simplification of the artist style and language (as analord
was, a back to basic letters) or more ultravisitor sounding
(noise masses, and full complexity) or just perfect drill
tunes or whatever...

ultravisitor was good, but this track sounds just as if it
was taken off of ultravisitor. maybe this will be
'ultravisitor remixed' album.

to me, the new track sounds more like the promo tunes that
were released with ultravisitor, like venus v.17 and
similars, with a more clean an regular structure but still
with the noisy side of ultravisitor...

i havent listened to it yet,
but for most of your reviews,
seems like the pusher has simplified his language,
as afx with the analords...
