well, definitely definitely go with the slower tempo for a
start... i couldn't even listen to the fast version.

i really like what you have going on with the track at
first, but it never really develops, it just kind of repeats
and then tangents. also the strings sound out of tune? or
is it supposed to sound like that?

also, your mix needs a lot of work... the drums sound like
sheets of water and it gets too much like one big tub full
of water with everything together... and the tremelo synth
that starts halfway through drives me nuts. hate it.

okay, so it is a good start and that is my opinion.

I physically couldn't listen to it longer than 15 seconds,
this is because I am getting old, and, far from being
discouraged, you should take that as a good sign.

r4; i agree some parts of the faster version sound good
going that fast, but the majority of it doesnt sound good @
that speed. doesnt really work. the strings in relation to
everything else are good, theyre supposed to sound out of
tune/weird sounding. i love that tremolo bass stab. that is
my favorite part... apples + oranges i guess. i was thinking
of having it on 16/16.

will work on the mix of the drums, i agree they need to
have more precense.

thank you!

dog_belch: yeah it starts out really mean.. which one
couldnt you listen to the 200bpm or the 150?

I found the faster one more to my liking as it was over
faster, but, I too am old.

In this fast paced Phuture, even you'll be old before you
can say "wha wha what the beat???"

sounds like you have a few ideas in the beginning and then
it kind of.. stops. in development, I mean. it's as if
you're grudgingly introducing new elements, because that's
what you feel that's what you're supposed to do.

that said, yes, I too am slightly geriatric.

I found that gradually lowering the volume down as fast as
possible to zero improved the track immensely.

It sounds horrible...what did you use to make it?

Oh that was at both speeds. I did listen to both (with
volume) right the way through and didn't like either
version. I too am beginning to get old.

trapped in a room on some overwhelmingly powerful acid with
an idm record and a hip hop record playing simultaneously.

wait, i think i peaked, i can see what appears to be my
hand.

no, no, false alarm.

confusion, sunrise, let's put on an old cocteau twins
record, i need to chill out.

Gotta admit that I didn't really like it. What is the whole
thing with releasing two different speeds?
A song doesn't suddenly sound good if you play it at a
different speed. The tremolo was annoying, and the whole
thing didn't mesh at all, the drums just sounded like a
layer added over the top.

Probably great to listen to if you are feeling ok and want a
headache.

On the up-side, it could make a nice 6 second breakdown in a
song or something...

Am I now a geriatric?

check it 7 mins long now but i guess a bit cooled off
that beginning beat is less crazy, i dont know. tell me what
ya think

It's OK. It has some great sections but overall it sounds
like a whole heap of effects with no soul.

it doesn't have a structure. or at least, a hardly
noticeable one.
