i still cant hear out of my right ear.

freaking me out man. the only things i can hear are
specific kinds of tones. not so much how loud they are but
just the right tone. i can crackle paper next to my ear and
hear it. running water. an espresso machine grinder. most
of those really jsut sound like vinyl clicks and pops like
when you first put on a record. i cant hear myself clap. i
cant hear you talk unless im facing you.

gr

I shot a .357 off with no protection and lost a little from
my right ear which took over a year to completely recover.
High frequencies can be heard now but they hurt quicker in
that ear.

Go to the doctor, John. This does sound serious.

And from what I know about your country, you could sue the
company that made the computer (or possibly the software)
and get some money...

Go to the doctor, who knows what could happen if you let
this go? Don't play games with your hearing, go get this
checked out.

I used to play bass for a death metal band and what we
lacked in talent we made up for in volume, as a result I now
have tinitus. It is horrable and when it is at it's worse I
can't use a telephone.

I feel for you man :(

Yeah, go get it looked at man and from now on, I'd be
cautious of my hearing. It would be sad to see someone who
makes or even just listens music to lose their hearing.

I also shot a .357 with no protection. That and a 44, and
7mm rifle, and a few shotguns. I've not been able to hear
as good ever since...

John, go to the doctor.
I once had a compareable issue...
I woke up and my right ear was deaf.
I went to the doctor and he just pulled out "stuff".... so
it was ok then... it's possible that's the same for you....

Sine's right. Sometimes your ears just build up a lot of...
well, gunk. =)

Having your ears syringed is actually quite a nice
experience.

One time i was in the woods and i tripped over some branch,
and this long thin branch off of a sapling somehow managed
to enter into my left ear --- FUCK that hurt!!! I was
terrifed i ruptured my eardrum or something, but i guess i
didnt cause my hearing was unaffected.

my brother beat up all these blokes on new years eve in a
drunken brawl but the one that punched him first hit his ear
and popped the drum. cos he won he thought he was ok but
then in the morning all this blood and wax and shit was on
the pillow and i had to take him to the hospital to see if
his brain membrane was split, but it wasn't. either way the
same may have happened so get it checked out
