grrrrrrrrrr, IT lessons are so boring!! Everything on the
internet is filtered, sometimes I cant even look at messages
on here!

I've got to hand in my coursework soon... anyone wish to
contribute?

It's because someone says "f---ing great", that it's
filtered.

I got told off for being drunk in an IT lesson, not directly
though, the teacher didn't just have a quiet word with me
about it, he told the headteacher and then when I got caught
down the pub a couple of months later the headmaster used
this as "additional evidence" to justify our telling off. I
raised the point that my lunchtime drinking didn't hurt
anyone else, just my grades, whereas the teacher's (we saw
some of them in the pub) meant they were less able to do
their jobs -educating children. That shut him up.

We also didn't get suspended because he knew we would all
sit our A-levels at a rival school in retaliation. Most of
the people caught were AAA students so this would have
really messed up the league tables, which let's be honest,
is all they care about.

Incedentally has anyone read HST's (I know a lot of folks
are fans here) views on alcoholic/drug addict geniuses?

School leagues tables mean nothing - schools have ways of
getting around them Ceri! Believe me! Students who are
destined to do 'not very good' at GCSE or A Level, can be
entered for the same exams in the same school, but as an
'external' candidate! The schools overval league table
results are only based on the 'internal' exam results - not
the results of those entered as 'external'!

Sneaky eh? (Whether or not they are allowed to still get
away with such things - I don't know!)

But it was sufficiently far from the exams that we would
have all transferred to Radyr before the exams took place!
