Ah no, maths produces analytic truths; tautologies. We know them through logical reasoning alone, independent of sense data, and so, by definition they are always certain... ALTHOUGH... everything starts in experience. It's only certain because we don't allow it to be anything else.. Drunken Mastah, get in here! I've done 6 exams already. Ah, A-levels. My school bizarrely insists on its students doing both AS and A2 exams after two years, so I have realms of exams at the moment. English Literature is fun; I seem to be quite good at bullshitting on about Shakespeare plays and Victorian novels, and poetry. Philosophy, and history, on the other hand....well, they're interesting, but a pain to revise for. |

nasty, i could never do english. ive got five next week, not looking forward to it. geology on monday, should be fine two geographys on tuesday, a bit worried about those maths (core) and physics on thursday (should be ok) i really wish i did art sometimes, i never even did it for GCSE. the teachers are such assholes, and you can't just paint/make whatever you want, you have to stick to set topics. i thought the course would be too restrictive/annoying. but now for A-level, i think you can just do whatever you want. i see people coming out of the art block carrying amazing abstract Hanal-type paintings and think "shit! i wish i did that now" |
