i think their new album is going to be "the bends 2'
their is not one song with really electronics according to
their new live stuff

aphex twin will probably never release anything on warp
again
if radiohead is signing them

you can listen to them here

such gas.

Cool. The unreleased songs they play live tend to really
mutate before they end up on their albums though. I doubt
this will be another Bends, it should sound far out.

they've allready recorded the album though, they are just
finishing production etc

So are they really making it more rock based? Just because
they can play songs live doesn't mean it'll sound like that
on record they can just adapt them for a band setting. I
dunno.

offline thecrimsonguard from ∞ (United States) on 2006-05-09 13:03 [#01895634]

yes, i agree with ophecks totally, these are just live
interpretations...i'm sure they're putting alot of work in
the recording, esp if you check out their blog with the
pictures. i think this one will sound lush. i don't like
appegi with drums and guitars, organs and strings work
better for me...personally....because in the end, the world
revolves around me

i agree. Plus they always sound slightly less electronic
live anyhow, regardless the bends was fucking fantastic so
who cares if they drop the IDM pretense. Don't get me wrong
i love kid a and the like but i am not gonna piss and kick
if its an all out bends fest. However on a side note 15
steps sounds fucking SHITE. can't wait to see em, this has
really got my in the mood and i am deffo not gonna sell my
other tickets.

just out of interest is it legal to uplaod live recordings,
because i have the desk recording of the gigs i saw on the
hail to thief tour and they are fucking fantastic
(especially the audience and thom acapella-ing karma
police).

trewq is aphex twin.

seriously.

he is so up his own arse that he thinks he can actually
influence people to not like something if he simply goes on
a chat forum and says "aphex hates ........."

just like the whole 'Men' record label, which he set up
purely because of a conversation he had one day with Tom
Jenkinson where they decided it was time to separate the
'men' of IDM from the 'boys'. incredible hilarious arrogant
wank.

i thought radiohead were gonna do everything via WASTE like
they did with the greatest lying mouth? although i am
shocked that they used ticketmaster for these tours
especially after all the anti ticket master spiel they used
to give!

I think the best record from the is "Hail To The Thief" as
it combines all the elements of the previous styles they've
made. Looking forward to all this. And I envy you so much
taffmonster, I've allways wanted to see Radiohead live.

yeah hail to the thief is awsome and live it was fucking
fantastic, mixymatosties was heavy as fuck live, greenwood
