I run a radio station. we have an annual operating budget of about $50,000. We get most of this from listener contributions. The radio station is independent, commercial-free, volunteer run community radio and receives no government grants and no money for advertising.. we are in the middle of our on ir fund drive and are rallynig for support (in the form of donations) from our listeners. It's always a stressful time and we need all the support we can get. It's common for everyone involved out here to contact everyone they know to try to pull in a little cash so we can meet our goal for the week ($12,000). Since I don't know anyone in real life, I'm asking internet people on xlt. We have a great electronic music show named the cut, that is hosted by people from xltronic (tolstoyed, vlari, mimi, virginpusher, fleetmouse, qrter, bremzen, r40f, dolleater, dog_belch, obara..) so I am reaching out to anyone here that may feel like kicking a couple dollars our way so we can keep this thing going. thank you for your time. |
