so, any creationists here?

is there any scientific evidence that actually SUPPORTS
CREATIONISM as opposed to evolution?
(since everything creationists have ever said that i have
seen involves quoting the bible/koran as fact, or talking
about made-up gaps in the fossil record etc.)

scientific evidence supporting their claims: yes.

Hi guys, like the discography threads, can we just keep all
scientific evidence that supports creationism in here, and
then that makes it easier for research students, scientists,
terrorists who plan to destroy the very fabric of the
universe etc, to find the facts that they might need.

they basically use the same input as every other scientist,
and in the same way as every other scientist, they interpret
the data within their own paradigm. it's that easy.

I keep hearing something about granite and some sort of
isotope halflife when i hear dipshit creationists talk about
scientific evidence of a creator.

that and any straightish line that occurs naturally on the
planet is noahs ark.

but _mostly_ what i hear are attempts to debunk the theory
of evolution, not necessarily proving creation..

can you tell me what that animal eats?

can you tell me where he lived? if he had fur? what time of
the year he hibernated?

can you tell me anything about his behavior? can you tell me
if he stood upright?

can you tell me if he used tools? if he listened to music?
if he wrote books?

offline cygnus from nowhere and everyplace on 2006-04-05 13:46 [#01872881]
Points: 11920 Status: Regular

the point is, you cannot tell me anything about that
animal besides the fact that it had bones.
moreover, the
bones could even belong to more than one animal.

evolutionists look at these bones and then come up with
diagrams like this connecting man and early apes, based upon
fragments of bone and teeth no larger than the size of a
coin;

diagrams like THIS that establish a direct link
between man and animal.

there is no link between man and ape. we did not 'evolve'
from them. the evidence used to prove this 'link' is a
fucking tooth and a piece of a knee thats probably from a
bird or a mother fucking washed up sea turtle.

fuck did not come from an ape however

unfortunately thats quite true. This is just based on the
little that i have heard regarding creationism.

I would honestly like to see them more structed in terms of
presentation as opposed to attacking evolution 24/7. Because
thats how it really seems it is. And i am not saying thats
always a bad thing. If they are honestly disproving a
certain idea or theory false then it should really be heard
but if thats all it consists of and never contains
scientific facts then there really isnt going to be alot of
common ground shared between the two groups.

can you tell me what that animal eats?
marshmallows.

can you tell me where he lived? near the bowling
alley on 110.

if he had fur? yes, it was a very nice coat made
of mink.

what time of the year he hibernated? every winter,
he'd fly to florida.

can you tell me anything about his behavior? he was
usually quiet, but after a few drinks, he'd often become
really surly and sometimes throw the first punch.

can you tell me if he stood upright? no idea.

can you tell me if he used tools? he used a spanner
and a drill press.

if he listened to music? napalm death, ministry, and
sometimes queen.

if he wrote books? he wrote several, but they were
never published. they were written under his pseudonym,
R.F. MacDonald.

haha cygnus don't be stupid. evolution is right. it's
completly logic. but it's not understood. when you're a kid
people throw at you ' evolution this evolution that' all the
time tho you never really understand what it is.

when you understand, it hits you. and it's like, well duh!.

as I said creationism isn't oposed to evolution. but
creationism isn't science evolution is.

evolution is fact, tho it doesnt explain a lot. i'm inclined
to also believe in that theroy where animals change by will.

"The hypothesis you refer to as God, though not disprovable
by logic alone, is unnecessary for the following reason.

If you assume that the universe can be 'explained' as
the creation of an entity known as God, he must obviously be
of a higher degree of organisation than his product. Thus
you have more than doubled the size of the original problem,
and have taken the first step on a diverging infinite
regress. William of Ockham pointed out as recently as your
fourteenth century that entities should not be multiplied
unnecessarily. I cannot therefore understand why this debate
continues."

I think I have a solution.

Maybe some people are descendants of monkeys, and
other people are descendants of.. something else (?). I
dunno.. cyngus what do you think you evolved from if not
from apes? It's an intriguing theory.

oh dear -- do people ever think things through or do they
swallow it without tasting because it's "science?" I find
tendencies to do shit like that more dangerous than
creationist theories (I'm taking this to an extreme now to
avoid further bullshitting so forgive me if I'm interpreting
shit wrong; it's at least partially intentional. I'm going
to latch on to OKs post as it is in view while I have the
instant reply box in view, but it could just as well be any
of cygnus' (or anyone elses) posts.

silly statements like

" evolution is right. it's completly logic." and
"evolution is fact" shows such tendencies. same goes
for the other side, mind you.

I won't bother going into defending creationism against
scientism to make people think again, but think shit
through
, people, and fucking remember that, as
creationism, current science isn't a fucking 100% pure well
of objective knowledge; they interpret the data
within their paradigm as all previous scientists (both those
proven to have been wrong, and those whose wrongness is yet
unproved) and creationists and ecologists and freudians and
economists and fucking average joe down at the bar.

OH LOOK! A SCIENTIST SAID IT: IT MUST BE CORRECT!

people forget the middle link.

data input - interpretation as per paradigm - data
output.

if you have no paradigm, you'd just have the data; bones,
fossils and some other shit, and a paradigm is a bias
though not in the full negative sense of the word unless you
senselessly eat all the cum the scientists within the
paradigm spray on your face.
