i just bought an ebook from an academic site for 22.50$ but its locked to this computer and i dont own a printer! i wanted to print it but it says itll only ever open on this computer......im pretty gutted, i want a paper copy, the author said i could print it, he lets ppl photocopy it if they want
does anyone know of any way of getting round this shit? fuck i hate DRM...i paid good money 4 it i should be able 2 do what i like w/ it,grrrr

You can either borrow a printer or try one of the various alternatives to acrobat. Some of them ignore all the drm and, in some cases, password protected files etc.

nah no joy :( oh well in the course of my quest ive read some proper horror stories with ebook DRM and now count myself quite lucky.
mind boggled before at who would actually buy DRM'd MUSIC off the internet but now i reckon it must be ppl like myself who didnt read the legal shit carefully + just wanted to listen / read the stuff
