I really dislike Townees. It's so hard not to get involved when the're mouthy. Last weekend some cheeky gimp who'd had a few tried to take on me and my mate, we had a quick conferal then walked away. |

Yeah, they are like working class (and I'm not bieng a snob here) bad boys who will try to take on anyone. They do where shit 'designer' clothes (you know, the ones with BIG Hilfiger logo's etc) and drive shitty cars with max power stickers in the back. I didn't actually realise they were drawn to DnB, I thought they only liked hard house. They tend to go round in gangs and talk in very twattish accents. I don't like going to certain clubs now cos you are always looking over your shoulder in case one of them trys to glass you for 'lookin at them'. oh, and they are ALL WHITE. |

Yeah and they all listen to Eminem too. They also smoke really shite quality "soap bar" weed rather than proper stuff like bud or pollen. They also nearly all own PS2s and wolf whistle at women in the street. My brother said once that in this particular "Townie Hive" they should oestrogenise the water supply. I'm not normally in favour of population control, but I think I could forgive this :) |

FUCK I HATE THEM. Ya know, we talked about them in sociology and they have been created due to the de-industrialisation of Britain. This is as there aren't any apprenticeships for engineering etc like there used to and so instead of dropping out of school and going into these like the past, they just roam streets, especially in places like sheffield where I live and the steel industry went to pot, thats why we have so many! |

yeah..frat boys are the upper middle class manifestation of american 'townees' actually...the majority of kids around here fit b3n's description..except they favor mainstream commercial hip hop and metal over hard house (big fans of insane clown posse and eminem) in fact..theyre so common we dont even have a name for them |

I think you should respect any sub culture. As a teenager I was a rock/grunge kid and I think it is good when you are young to be able to identify yourself with a culture that you have to find yourself. |
