I mostly use SoundForge and select 'wave out mix' or
whatever it's called in that Windows volume thingy.

you could download the SF demo (I think it's about 70 Mb) if
you don't have it already.

the sneaky thing is selecting that "wave out" thing. I think
it's normally set on "microphone".

I used cool edit for this when i had it. Soundforge would be
just as good too. It was all a matter of preference. I liked
cool edit more for some reason.

you should also do a picture of the 'properties' window in
which you have to tick the 'recording' box.

yup they virtually have the same options and effects for the
most part. It just comes down to how you fancy the
interface.

I honestly couldnt tell you why i liked cool edit as opposed
to soundforge but in the end i really hated sound forge. Its
quite odd.
