"I'm new and I need strong Brothers in Christ to help me keep strong"
"What do you guys listen to as far as christian music goes?"
"where to find a Christian girlfriend?"

There's no turning back now. You're doomed to hell for all eternity. It says so in the great book. Committing suicide will only make it worse for yourself. The Great Lord frowns upon those who take their own life and you will end up in a deeper layer of hell where your torment shall be greater.
I will pray for you and your family every night for two weeks but there is nothing that can be done for your soul.

*from a christian*
"when i was a kid i was tought to pray for things in life, to help them happen. so once, i prayed day in day out for a new bike for over a week. nothing happened. then i realised the lord didnt work in that way, so then i went out and stole a bike and asked for forgiveness instead"

God in His Word The Bible has clearly defined what the consequences of sin will be, and certain sin attracts penalties for future generations.
We see this in the Bible time after time, this curse being put into effect .
God does not change , nor does His Laws. What He said three thousand years ago remains the same from 1960 - 2000 , the years when immorality and
perverted sex became a licensed free for all in the United Kingdom.
God has said that the immoral would not enter heaven. Satan will see to that, has he twists mankind into contortions of defying a Holy God and His Word. Man is blinded with his own importance and foolishness.
Whoever does not enter heaven will go to eternal perdition, the destiny of Satan and all his cohorts.
This is clearly stated in God's Word. Such decadence has opened the door for Satan to inflict his evil will upon sinful man. Sexual sin begets more consequences and man must reap the harvest he sows. Unclean spirits ensure that the trait becomes a major part of that whole person with the consequence that it becomes anti God . This is idolatry. The only way is by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, trusting Him as Saviour and Lord and committing all into His hands following repentance.
Jesus Christ came as the truth to lighten the darkness of mans mind, and to deliver him from the grip of Satan . He brought healing and the truth of the Holy living God His Father. He defeated Satan who never had any hold on Him because Jesus was perfect man, free of the taint of sin. Satan tried to have him killed but failed on several occasions because Jesus had a set purpose with its own time scale. It was the plan of salvation for mankind from His Father God. Jesus Christ laid down His own life at Calvary, where on that cross He bore the sin of the whole world, in His precious body. God's own son, thesacrificial lamb of God bore those sins and became a curse.

For six hours He hung there between heaven and earth, nailed, bruised and torn. Wounded for me, wounded for me, there on the cross He was wounded for me.
His blood was shed in those wounds all over His body, but at the appointed time He committed His spirit in to the hands of His Father.
Because He was dead, the usual practice of breaking both legs to speed up death was not necessary. However, a soldier thrust a spear deep into His side and behold a flood of water and blood gushed out.
That signified the beginning of the new covenant between God and man, but it was not known by the desperately afraid disciples who thought their hopes
had been shattered on that first Good Friday Jesus was laid in a tomb, because of the Jewish Sabbath, and on the third day He rose from the dead. He was seen by many people and shared meals with
His disciples. Jesus was alive then and He later ascended into heaven, and now sits on the right hand of God. The shedding of His blood was the final blow against the power of evil and a way for man to get into a right relationship with God once again. Jesus had said "You must be born again".
This is the new spiritual birth in Christ Jesus.

The hypocrisy of many, not all, Christians. They pick and choose who is forgivable by God and who isn't etc.
It's a farce. One person may be forgiven for a murder whilst another won't. There's no consistancy.
Some Christians you're chosen from the moment you're born and it doesn't matter how you live your life because you're chosen. Someone could go their entire life not knowing they're chosen and not go to Church etc and basically be a heathen yet still get into Heaven because they're a chosen one. On the other side someone could be a good Christian all their lives yet not be a chosen one so they don't get into Heaven. What the hell sort of fucked up belief system is that?
It's ridiculous.
Whilst not all Christians believe this there's enough of them to make me disgusted.

That belief pisses me off as well and from a religious POV it's totally contrary to the whole concept of "Free Will" (the whole reason sin is meant to be so bad is that you have a choice in not doing it) and instead, more akin to fatalism.
Otherwise how would God choose who goes to heaven before you're born? Just throw a dice and go, "Ah tough titty, sonny-Jim, you're hell-bound."

hahah, word! I hate those elderly ladies that come to my philosophy lectures to "find themselves" 'cause they blabber all this bullshit and it's quite clear that they haven't understood what neither the lecture, tesxt, or entire point of the course is, and then when someone tells them, they just go "oh, you're too young to understand, you'll get it in a couple of years!"
why can't they go fucking find themselves in mathematics or something?!

i don't think it's yours or gigi's to judge really you might want to think about this some more, being predestined to hell or heaven means freedom on this earth. it reduces shady church influences (like paying off your sins) and it's giving yourself up to god.
it's bad form when you argue against this aspect when the thing you don't like about it is that you don't understand it

As a Christian myself, I was arguing that the belief gigi was appaled by (which I've also encountered), seems contrary to the whole idea that we can choose our actions, that is fundamental to Christianity.
I certainly understand the philosophical concept that fatalism (whilst self-disproving) allows you to do what you want and generally be an arse, because you think that's the only way it could have happened, so you did nothing wrong, etc.

hehe, but im quite sure non of the people that believe this use it as an excuse to do whatever the fuck they want. i also think people who believe this are generally more strict than catholics (because they stand in awe of god, whatever)
also i think you are wrong to think that being predestined in your life after death means being predestined, have no control, over your life on earth
i too used to think this believe was disgusting and wrong, but after some thinking i think it's quite beautiful to be able to place your faith like that in the hands of god. maybe i see it as a methaphor of our individual insignificance

I certainly accept that (if) fatalism applies to our life after death, it doesn't neccesarily mean it applies to our time on earth.
I also recognise the idea that choosing to put your faith in God (by that I mean trusting in him, rather than choosing faith x over faith y), you are actually demonstrating your belief that he will save you, rather than people who (I would argue have less faith) who believe somehow God's forgiveness/approval has to be won by going to church each week.

using the term fatalism doesn't seem quite objective though ;)
i remember i've gotten majorly pissed off and now just think it's stupid to believe you won't go to heaven when you don't believe in a certain faith, which most self proclaimed christians believe in my experience. like: haha, you didn't buy the ticket when you could so now you won't get into this cool venue

That's the very essence of Calvinism, isn't it? You're saved by grace, and God decides who gets the grace. If you don't have the grace you're unregenerate and incapable of understanding God's message by yourself, even if you want to. I could be wrong but this is what I've been told by current and ex-Calvinists.

Yes, it's a Calvinistic belief. I think it's born out of the idea that the bible says faith is a gift from God, which if you interpret as literally meaning "God picks and chooses who he saves and you and your actions play no part in it", I suppose is fair enough. I prefer to understand it as, "if you believe he will, God will save you."
It's just another of those things in the bible that's unclear, contradicts other passages and is open to debate. I think the lack of clarity on these issues is what makes a lot of Christianity seem a bit blurry and unclear. I can certainly see the attraction of something like Islam which is a bit more black and white.
